2 nights ago I became lucid without RC. It happened to me a few times. I just kinda KNEW I was dreaming. But, it was not vivid at all, I could feel myself waking up, I held onto it for a while, but it was too much work, and all I was doing was standing in the middle of a street with my eyes closed, trying to relax and telling myself I will stay awake. All it was doing was keeping me in the dream, it unfortunately did not stabilize.

This seems to happen in all the LDs I have without using RCs. Probably just a coincidence.
