      Sleep Paralysis questions

Okay so I've been considering WILD a lot lately, and the more I read into sleep paralysis, the more confused and indecisive I get about the whole shabang. So a few questions. If they are poorly worded, bare with me, this is coming straight from my head:
      1) Is it always necessary and/or likely to occur when attempting a WILD LD?
      2) Is it always as bloody terrifying as i've read? Only, I don't fancy spending a night bricking it because some shadow tried to eat me.
      3) Is there anyway to calm yourself beforehand so that you are less likely to see or hear anything scary? I sound like a wuss, but i've never done it and i just need a little comforting push :L
      Thanks to anyone who replies

By the way, if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it, admins? Sorry, im just new here

      1. Yes, you must go through it to enter dreams. But while doing WILD it shouldn't take more than 5-10 seconds to enter the dream after you get into SP... So you probably won't see anything scary if you don't open your eyes.
      2. SP hallucinations always consist of bad things, it's probably because of the feeling of being unable to do anything or something like that. I had many SPs and tested the limits, but i was never able to turn the hallucinations into good ones, just other bad ones.
      3. I don't think so... There were times when i didn't hallucinate anything, but i don't know what caused that.. but i didn't calm myself before...

One time when I was drifting in and out of sleep on my couch I felt something vibrating against my left leg. It was an unusual experience, but there were no hallucinations at that time for me.

Hi Sam, when I get SP I either feel the vibrations and don't hallucinate and enter straight into a dream or I hear things and see things and if they scare me I just remind myself that it's not real and it can't hurt me, if you get scared just repeat to yourself "this is just a dream it can't hurt me" in now way can it hurt you physically because nothing is really there, think as it like your watching a scary film, that's all it is, just a load of scary rubbish. Transition into a dream is fairly quick usually so the scary mumbo jumbo your mind plays tricks with you on won't last long atall. I hope your fear doesn't put you off trying it will be well worth it. If you try and get scared just try again another time, gradually you will be that used to them and realise that not once has it hurt you that you will get more used to it and eventually think "ohh it's that rubbish again, ahh well just relax through it" I hope you get yourself past this fear boundary, good luck and PM me if you would like help and
support through this as you try, I'll be here every night before you try if you like and encourage you through it...it always helps when you have a mentor of your own
Who is there for just you...have a good sleep or SP lol
