      Crazy experience while meditating.

I started meditating normally. I was fully awake the whole process when something happened.
After 10min of meditating i started feeling lighter and started having this pointy preasure in my forehead. I ignored this and continued normally my meditation. Then my eyes started to feel shocks like electricity and they where moving like crazy. I decided to keep my eyes closed as normally. I started to see huge white light in corner of my eyes while they were shut. Then the feeling in my forehead spread little and i felt like opening my eyes except i didnt i kept them closed. I wanted to see what was happening. The darkness in my vision started to lighten up and i felt my eyes where opening forcefully while moving like crazy and feeling of the electricity. I tried to keep them close but it felt that they just opened more and i started to see more. i started to see my room in flashes so i thought my eyes are moving like crazy so i must be letting light in. I the saw my room little foggy. I thought i kept my eyes closed except i could see. I raised my hand look at it and touched my eyes lids and they where closed yet i could see!!??WTF? this was my reactions and i opened my eyes imidietally and i saw excat same image as my eyes close except brighter.
I still believe this to be halluscination but its so weird since i was wide awake and not tired at all ( I slept like 11 hours previous day) when this happened. It also happened so fast.

Supposedly this is what one experiences when performing ESP/Remote Viewing.

Never heard of that. All i can say that it was really convincing hallucination. I going to try to induce it again. If i succeed i oberve it until im sure thats its either hallucination or something more. I post it here if i succeed. I doubt it but nothing is impossible.

Interesting, but very unlikely to happen again. You should check nyam signs and see if they fit

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

Same thing has happened to me expect I was doing a wild, which is kinda similar anyways to meditation. I would put on some relaxing sounds or whatever and start breathing deeply and relaxing my body. Usually after 20-40 minutes I would start to feel tingles and stuff throughout my body trying to get me to scratch but I would lie still. Eventually I would start seeing flashes in my eyes, and you described it perfectly because I also felt like my eyes were being jolted with electricity. I would start seeing shapes and pictures start to form and faint voices in the background. The jolting in my eyes get so violent that I feel like my eyes are being pried open. Simply trying to close them would not do any good. Eventually al the commotion in my eyes and brain would force me to open my eyes. Literally to much to handle. I've never been able to get past that point. It's extremely intense.

That sound excatly same how it happened to me. I thought my eyes were opening little by little and i tried push them shut. Then i started to see flashes of my room. At this point i was no longer sure if my eyes were blinking or not. When the flashes calmed down i could look around and i thought are my eyes open. I look my hands they look like normally i would see them but everything were darker so i touched my eyelids and they were closed. Thats when i had to make sure if i was seeing same image as with my vision and i was. I still saw little bit when i closed my eyes again but it faded to darkness pretty quick.
This has happened to me when i have been trying to wild but i could easily say its dream but this time i managed to look all the details in my room.

Some of them matched me. I have lately have had stronger emotions but in a good way and my mind is so silent only few thoughts pop up now and then. I am normal as always except i have recently begun to have these meditation experiences, obes more realistic lucid dreams. What i understood that nyam is some sort of meditation experience what happens when you are in correct path except it not permenant it just shows glimpse of something else and you are very unlikely to experience it again.

I often see through my eye lids while waking from a dream. Believe what you want, perhaps this was a hallucination, but for me; I've had it happen too often - seen things come into vision that weren't there when I first closed my eyes... it's too much to believe it's a hallucination (for myself). I'm no stranger to psychic phenomena though, and to top it off, I have some sort of schizo disorder (schizotypal is my current diagnosis). So take my words with a grain of salt. I'm nuts, I know it, my doctors know it, but some things I refuse to believe are "hallucinations." Especially since I've grown to recognize when it is I do hallucinate - as it does happen with me.

I usually experience really bright/wild HI about 10 minutes into closed-eye samatha meditation.

I was doing open-eyed vipassana sitting in the park today on a walk, with difuse vision, and clearly saw the ground and a little hill in front of me expanding/bulging up on my inhales and shrinking on my exhales....pretty trippy had never noticed that before! I also experienced a very unusual refocusing perspective phenomenon at the start of that session.

Yeah, I can see the outline of my hand with my eyes closed when I'm relaxed and it's dark. It looks like faded white and I can make out the shape of fingers and everything. If I wave it infront of my face I can see it moving.

At first I thought maybe I was picking up some residual light from my room, even though it was pitch black, so I've experimented in a pitch black room, under my bed-sheet and with my eyes closed... I can still see my hand moving infront of my face.

Okay here something to think about. There this one guy who is blind yet he can see. Dont believe me well there is scientific sproof. They covered any entrance of light to his eyes yet he could see and pass these tests. Maybe he sees trough sound? NO! They covered his every sense expect smell and he passed these very hard tests. He could even see in dark color and the shape object as clearly as we see. He said the answers straight away. I didnt find video i checked but there was another video about him. First i know this video about him doesnt prove anything but you can look the real studies they made at him. STAN LEE SUPERHUMANS SUPERSIGHT - YouTube I didnt find anything else beside this crap. The guy has dissapeared from media for some reason but if you look hard enough you should find something about him. I know this show is full of crap except this guy.

It could be possible to see without eyes but i go by experience not what i hear or read but i know there enough proof to accept its possible but its not something im going to try to do. I only meditate for the clarity it gives me but if this is side product i wouldnt mind to learn it .

Another perspective. Such flashes are often indicative of experiencing radiation go through you. Astronauts commonly reported this during solar storms. I am not saying this is what happened, but it's kind of interesting to think about.

Yeah its intresting to think these with open mind. I havent had anysimilar experiences. I never close anything out compeletely. I experience weird stuff all the time when sleeping but the difference was i was wide awake and saw same image as reality.

Check out integrateddaniel.info/book/ for downloading a free ebook - Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha by Daniel Ingram covering this topic! Here's a quote: "Visions, unusual sensory abilities (such as seeing nearby things through one’s closed eyelids), out of body experiences, and especially bright lights tend to arise to the meditator, sometimes first as jewel-tone sparkles and then as a bright white light (“I have seen the light!”)." (Page 176 on the chapter The Progress of Insight) Lots of useful information in this book!

LOL I've had this! ^_^ And this is funny for many reasons!

But my experiences have been slightly different. The first time I did it I was 15 and trying to fall asleep with my eyes open during class. White light and electric eyes, same deal, but I rolled with it because that's just what I thought happened normally. Then I saw the vision of a line of kids walking towards me at an angle, and the second they walked out of my "vision" they walked past the classroom door. The "vision" stayed with me for a bit, like 30 seconds at least, so I was able to realize that I was predicting who was about to walk past the classroom door. I was making a game out of it. Then the bell rang.

      Definitely ESP/Remote Viewing.

It's just such an intense experience for me that even when I know that I'm in control my eyes want to open up. I know that I'm in sleep paralysis, I'm aware, but i feel forced to open my eyes. I will keep trying and see if I can get past that point and let you guys know in the future

I have had few similar experiences after that meditation experience when trying to wild. I think i maybe know what caused them for me. You just have to go to lay down when your sleepy and you just need to stay still and focus on your only in your vision. This seemed to induce it.
I try it sometimes when i feel really relaxed or bit sleepy. So if anybody is interested try if that works for you and let me know how it happened to you.
Usually when i start to see something else the shock of it just makes me back to fully awake. I managed to saw my roof and this weird all most invicible floating cloth levitating in air. In the other one i looked at my wall and it seemed that there was hair coming out of it. So it really freaks me out sometimes and i it snaps me back to normal. They could just be hallucinations but lets see when i really manage to observe it more than a fraction of second.

I've had similar experiences a couple of times. I didn't notice my eyes moving rapidly or anything like that, but I did see a bright light like you said. It was like the darkness in my mind started to fade and the room around me started to form in my vision. One of the times I was almost about to drift off to sleep in my living room, then the dark abyss in front of me started taking form and as I began to see the room around me I saw the tv still on, I could hear it the whole time, but after I saw the tv I realized that the audio matched what I was seeing. I watched for a few minutes with my eyes closed, and when I opened them the show I was watching was on the same scene I saw with my eyes closed; that was my personal confirmation that I was experiencing it in real time. Really a trip.

Strange, I have never had an experience of REM Atonia/Sleep Paralysis where my eyes were actually open, in fact they were always closed and I was completely in a void. If I opened them, I would be out of it, but I can also move right out of it if I want to as well. I know I am in SP/REM Atonia, but I have a lot of control over what happens in it, during it, and when I want to end it. Usually I induce a vortex by my head or feet to suck me into a lucid dream or something, heh.

Its a cool experience you had there.

In short it was an nREM dream in that semi-awake state. Did you fall asleep after this happened or you woke up? Probably you woke up at least for a second, otherwise chances of you recalling it would be low.

I was compeletly awake in this experience. Thats why it was weird. I have had this happend dozens of times when trying to wild but in this i was meditating 100% awake while this happened. There was no lapse in my consciousnes. It happened in 15 minutes to meditation so there was no chance i was asleep. It could have been that i entered to nrem but i have had experience with nrem and its very different.
In this experience it was just that i closed my eyes and it started to happen. Thats why i freaked out because i was so sure i was fully awake.
I havent had simiar experiences while meditating but i have tried to conscious sleep which have had similar experience.

In this experience it was just that i closed my eyes and it started to happen. Thats why i freaked out because i was so sure i was fully awake.
I havent had simiar experiences while meditating but i have tried to conscious sleep which have had similar experience.
Parts of our brain can fall asleep even when we are awake and busy in daily life, when you are closing your eyes and meditating you definitely can be partially asleep. It happens to me every night before I fall asleep, I just close my eyes and start seeing dreams and I am still fully awake.
