Well, better than staying up three nights straight you might just spend one cold night out with little clothes on! Then you'll get really sick and if you have a really huge fever you'll allucinate. My friend had one of these a few weeks ago, she said she was lying in her dad's lap at the hospital and she saw and heard a man and her father speaking. Later, she found out there was no man at all. The funniest thing is she said she totally believes she was there, that it seemed real. When her dad said that there was no man at all at the hospital she just couldn't believe it!

About the higher self meditation, do the following: Lie down, take some time doing deep breathing to relax your body, then imagine you're in a very peaceful landscape. In that landscape imagina a rainbow appearing, go up the rainbow. At the top of the rainbow you should see your sanctuary (which is different for everyone, just let it be whatever it is). Then sometimes your higher self is there and it can be a light or an old man dressed in white or something like that. If it's not there, try seeing a wall and breaking it, believing your higher self will be behind that wall. At first nothing much will happen, but as you start creating a bond with your higher self you can have really cool experiences.

There is a very simple way to induce hallucinations. Go to sleep. After 90 minutes your brain will go into the REM stage where the hallucination experiences (which are called "dreams") occurs. :yumdumdoodledum:
Sleep 8 hours a day and you'll enjoy 2 hours of hallucinations each day.

look in the mirror, and focus on your eyes in the reflection without blinking for as long as possible. Some find it easier to focus only on one eye ( focus with both your eyes on one of the eyes in the reflection ). If you manage not to blink, or blink very little, then after a few minutes you will see some very interesting, sometimes scary hallucinations, often facial alterations.

Is it possible to keep your awareness so that you will know it is a hallucination, and not reality?

You mean like WILD, there are plenty of those hallucinations while you do it and you keep your awareness. I rarely make it though.

Sorry, no reference I could find... Maybe searching google you'll find simillar meditations but I learned it in a workshop here in Portugal.

Mirror staring is easy but it's not much fun... I often see myself with grown beard and with a bigger nose and such... Almost like you are seeing who you were in different lives!

It works better with low light. But then don't think too much about what you see or you may think you saw demons in your face or something! I usually see scary stuff but I remind myself it's just an illusion.

Is there a way to unlock this handicap of logic and give yourself hallucinations? I'm sure most people here have a lust for the un-ordinary and escape from reality.

PLEASE don't suggest drugs, I might just do so =P[/b]

Be careful with your wording.

Hallucinating means seeing something that is not real, but the person seeing that BELIEVES it is 100% reality.

Someone with Schizophrenia has a chemicle imbalance in the brain, and there "thought process" is simply broken down and distorted with miscommunications. They often hallucinate but they BELIEVE what they see, but in reality Schizophrenia consists mainly of auditory hallucinations, not so much visual.

And in no way is schizophrenia a release on your imagination or mentally freeing. It is the exteme opposite. There also is no such thing as "controlled schizophrenia".

But to be able to see a "vision" or something of that nature, something needs to be chemically changed in the neurtransmitters of the brain. This is attainable with certain drugs (Which I do not recommend, very dangerous and mentally life changing) and/or other natural causes (Possibly being awake for an extreme amount of time).

Good luck! Just keep doing more research....But be careful, because it may not be just as fun as you expect, loosing your sense of reality *usually* isn't a pleasent experience, weather you wanted to induce it or not.

Losing your sense of reality is very fun for alot of people. e.g anyone who takes drugs.
I will try and research more on naturally hallucinating and post back.

Oh and I dont know if I posted this already, but when I wake up in the morning and don't move much, but keep my eyes open, I start to hallucinate.

Yeah some of you mentioned sleep deprivation. I once stayed awake for abt 3 days and I started hearing things (ex: music coming from the bath tub drain) I'm sure I would've seen things if I had've stayed up any longer, but I heard that you kinda get crazy, and I don't think you would have alot of control over it.

Í've had some strange ''visuals''.

Problem is I was alone at the times (or the only one awake) so noone can confirm if they were Hallucinations or not

If your gonna stay up for long periods of time, remember to relax occasionally, dont put yourself under too much stress and dont play games for 4 days straight .

I know its kinda New Age-ish and farfetched (but to most people, so is lucid dreaming and APing), but has anyone tried to combine meditation and binaural beats to induce hallucinations? I download BrainWave generator (free ) this morning and tried out the T.R.I.H.P.S Version 1 preset (in preset library>meditation/relaxation) and set the lowest freq. to 6.5 Hz (when u download it , its set to 7.5 Hz, but the maker says to go as low as you can without falling asleep). So anyway, i sat up in my bed, leaning against the wall (with some pillows as cushions) and closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing. At the point where it spiked down to 6.5 Hz i started getting some CEVs, seeing different "trippy" patterns and having mild auditory hallucinations (i thought i heard bass "bumpin" from a car parked outside my house even though there was no car), and after it came back up from 6.5 Hz, i started to feel very relaxed. 20 minutes into it I stopped it and had a slight buzzy feeling for the next 5 minutes. I'd like to lower it more and see what happens.

That BrainWave generator thing sounds cool, but do you think it really works? Maybe the effects you got were merely from the meditation. I get a lot of those effects and the buzzy feeling you talked about whenever I do meditation. So, did you feel the Brain Wave generator really helped?

Since these bineural beats aren't something paranormal, they clearly cause changes in brainwaves. That's all they do, make the brain sync its brainwaves with the sound frequencies. The same happens with sleeping, meditation, relaxation, it's just another way of "getting there". I think they cause a noticable effect.

The binaurals work pretty good most of the time. I've also had some CRAZY hallucinations during lucids/nonlucids. For example, in one (nonlucid) dream, my friends were squeezing oranges and catching the drops in theoir mouth, they called it squirting (lol). They said it makes u trip out, so i took a few drops from a fresh orange and the instant they hit my tongue everything changed shapes, everything i saw changed into fruits and monkeys, even my friends. Then i started hearing really weird ass music and walking around. I tripped out for the next 20 minutes (dream time) and then it changed into another dream. It seems like i tripped on salvia/acid in my dream (but i dont know, cuz i havent done either of them)

holy crap. this sounds weird. for me hallucinations sound scary and after all thats been said, id rather just have dreams because if u have a hallucination that means your actually awake but you think your sleeping if ur lucid and since you know that your lucid thenyou can still control yourself like you can in the real world. normally, you would think people would be less afraid of stuff and think that they can control the world but since your not actually dreaming you cant and you might hurt someone else or more likely get hurt yourself. like if you try to stop a car with one finger. you might be able to do it in your dream but not here!

the mirror trick sounds safer and actually fun. ill have to try that.

I don't think these hallucinations go that far. I haven't tryed the sleep deprevation thing, but I do get small hallucinations from time to time. It's never something big or long, like trying to stop a car. They are mostly controlled and I don't think there's such a thing as lucid hallucination, because you'd know it wasn't real and wouldn't try anything dangeorus.
