Thread: Shared Lucid Dreaming Tutorial

Sorry. I'll try to refrain from shrinking my font - bad habit.

He was scared because I was scared. Namely because chairs were scraping, but nobody was moving any of them. No, don't ask me how that happened. I'm convinced there's a ghost up at where I work. We joke around if anything bad happens or goes wrong, it's the Ghost of Paradise (where I work. Fancy name, huh?)

But that's what we were coming to a conclusion of. I'm somewhat able to do the same thing - though not to the extent that he does it. We normally just shrug our shoulders and say it's because we're best friends and we've known each other for so long that we're connected like that.

Yes, I don't quite know how to explain it either.

But that's okay. I'm doing my best to try and become more and more lucid through my dreams, and so far I think I'm on the right path, but you never know, right?

I think it would be cool to have a shared dream or for me to finally manage to be lucid in dreams. ;3

Then maybe I could be as skilled as my friend. xD

i know that there are plenty of things that we dont know about the world, and there are plenty of things we never will, but just how do you people justify the phenomenon of shared dreaming? (or any of it - astral projection etc)

They don´t justify it actually, they just live it, maybe they'll come up with something in the future.

Cientists do the same, they observe the fenomena first and then elaborate a thesis.

I'll probably do a lot with fire, and do everything with my hands(summoning electricity or fire, I discovered that summoning fire is really easy, I had my first full LD, altough short, this morning and I tried sumoning/shootimg fire with my finger and I succeeded at the first try), that friend will probably do a lot with cool weapons

if I succeed at going to the moon I will try to create a giant weedplant, so if you see that you know I succeeded
maybe i'll catrf sume runes into it

btw, what I was wondering, is talking in a shared dream also bound to language? (since I'm dutch, I can understand emglish and talk it also but I'm better at expressing myself in dutch or frisian, and I could imagine since it's sort of telepathic language doesn't matter)

From my observation, it's justified by the comparatively and almost identical dream logs the dream-sharers post around DV. Loaf himself was curious if shared dreaming was real, and found that "in [his] experience" it's real, as he's had shared dreams with others around DV. Right now, there's no empirical evidence that can compare if two people's dreams have ever been alike, so you either try it for yourself and determine if it's real or not, or else you can take their word for it. Other than that, there's no true evidence to say it is real.

I for one believe it's real, and am still preparing to test to see if it is real, and would love for it to really be real. I would like someone to attempt to dream-share with on DV, but I haven't reached out yet to try it, nor have I remembered to arrive on the moon to look for anyone there.

I have a Babelfish in my dream body ear which translates other languages for me into English.

English is mowlgycdb's second language, as is a lot of other people's on this site. Most of the time when you see people using strange grammar, and mispelling words, that is the reason.

Not quite the same thing.

Scientists observe the phenomena, propose a thesis and test the thesis to see if it actually holds up, under intense scrutiny (and varying conditions). It isn't quite right to compare the two.

They're simply not interested, in my case I can't do it yet because I don't have enough recall, plus I'm starting to think shared dreams aren't ""dreams"", they feel diferent from normal dreams. Remembering the exact words numbers or leters someone says is hard, it's hard for me to recall conversations, and what you see in a shared dream is modified by your perception like diferent people have diferent opinions about the same topic. Plus... people lie all the time, if it's only subject to what people see in their minds there's no proof cause it can be manipulated.
though maybe in the next 30 years it can be posible.

One good method would be to simply get someone's real name, and soon as you wake up contact them on FaceBook or something to that effect. Now while it sounds a bit silly, I have successfully remember the names of characters in even my non-lucid dreams at least several times.

This whole dream sharing thing seems really interesting...

I had a successful Wild going to a degree more or less and remembered I had wanted to dream share and went about to try and get to one of the persons who had dream shared before. I was at first trying to figure which of the crew I should aim for and at first thought about Raven but turned it around and to try meet another person here Serenity. It felt like a more better choice somehow and I was sitting in a meditation like position and then tried to focus on going to meet said person in the dream.

The process was peculiar and I managed to change dream scape after a little while by having my vision of old dream scape go to tunnel vision and distort in spherical manner and then old dream world 'freeze' and then transition to a white central distortion and blackness around until it all went black and then 'waking up' in a new dream scene soon after by letting this feeling go over me. Like trusting my subconscious to take me where I wanted to go.
Though seems I didn't get where I wanted I've made some progress maybe? I didn't meet serenity nor did I feel like I had been able to enter a dream where she was but it was a interesting experience non the less. Hopefully I'm more successful white more tries at it.

I created a new thread to continue the discussion about scientific experiments regarding shared dreaming.

That sounds really cool, this is more inspiration for me to learn lucid dreaming so I can learn how to have have a shared lucid dream.

Because, we need third party verification to prove we are not communicating in waking life.

That's great man. What you did was go through a wormhole (which we all do, but you were aware of it, which is really cool!)

Shared dreaming sounds very interesting! I think I've had one before tho...
I had it with my friend when we were kids. We were at summer camp and were sleeping in the same room. We both wanted to have a shared dream, so before falling asleep, we tried telling a story together... We both had our eyes closed and lying in our beds. She would tell a part of a story and we'd both imagine it, then I would continue and we'd imagine again. We continued the story till we fell asleep. That night I had a dream of me and my friend in a school on my birthday, going through various classrooms and the people from those classrooms congratulating me. I woke up and told my friend about my dream. She told me she dreamt the same dream as well. I think we tried doing it another time after that, but failed...

I'll try going to the moon base tonight ^_^

I'll try wearing a long red scarf when I'm on the moon, so that I'd be recognised more easily ^_^

I want to give this a try. Maybe I'll go to the moon to see, or maybe I'll get a friend of mine to assist me. If I do show up on the moon, I'll be wearing a black cloak adorning a top hat.
