Exclamation Dark side of shared dreams

hello i am realy intrested in this theory it would need dreamsharing to be possible, to me it is because otherwise it would never work

      now here comes the theory

if you would enter some ones dream and he would be lucid but unable to control his suroundings and you would have full control over it. than if you would turn his dream in the worst nihgtmare some one ever could imagine. you would make it so evil that he would get something along the lines of a heartattack in the dream. but he experiances the emotion like it was real life wich mean he would also get a heatattack in real life

if this would be possible you could be like the perfect assasin killing poeple in your sleep

I actually did something like this once, except instead of killing someone they saw an angel.
Next day when i asked them about their dreams, they just wept.

I realise now that what i did was a form of self serving psychic masturbation, seeking to make myself appear wonderful. I am actually embarressed even writing about it.

Don't try to do that! Create good karma for yourself and others please.

Dreamsharing works because we are all one consciousness outside our little ego bubble. What you do to someone else you do to yourself. If you try to do something like this it may or may not work, but it will backfire on you also even if it don't work.

Even professional Obeah practitioners (black magic voodoo) in the Caribbean who put curses on people for a client, make sure that the client is responsible for the karma and assume that the client has a good reason. Often it backfires on the client.

Well if you want to try a game of pain be sure you ask for agreement whit those participating. But I will either way recommend you go for some better things.

There rarely is anyone who truly would agree even if you asked unless they really know their stuff and maybe want to see what your capable of creating as a peculiar interest.

Yes there is a dark side to sharing dreams. I have been a victim a handful of times of such attacks. so a word of caution to shared dreamers: If you want to share dreams, be prepared to defend yourself.

I've been to the toilet, been stabbed, been poisoned, and been beaten in non-lucids and it never causes a problem in reality. Sorry to destroy your hopes, but you can't kill someone via a dream, shared or otherwise.

I have to disagree, I think you can injure or even kill someone in their dreams. And I have reason to believe that those types of injuries don't ever heal. But it's not the kind of thing I want to discuss on these boards, experiment with, or teach people how to do, for obvious reasons.

I don't think it's anything people need to worry about, or something anyone is likely to do by accident. If you want to drop a building on someone's head or blast them with a Kamehameha, go for it. You're not going to hurt anyone that way.

I do think I did this to someone (not knowing what I was doing of course), about 2-3 years ago, and he's still limping around in people's dreams to this day.

And that's all I have to say about that.

So, it's unlikely to happen unless you intend to harm them permanently. Interesting.

Also, not something I'd actually want to do to anyone.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

I doubt it could even be done with intending alone. There was more to it. Only reason I stumbled across it was because I had tried everything else over the course of three nights, then remembered something I had read about.

No doubt about it dreaming is a powerful form of energy work, self development, spiritual exploration. People who get good at it use it it more and more sophisticated and powerful ways. It is a tool. The way we use it shows who we really are.

Yes it can be fun to fight other characters, have sex dreams and explore limitless other fantasies of our waking mind. But this is just psychic fantasy. In the beginning it tends to happen only within our own mindstream.

As we develop our dreaming energy into a usuable tool we start to have interactons with other mindstreams. Some of these may be still indulging themselves in the psychic fantasy stage, others may have developed much further. This is a bit of a wake up call and can come as a shock. When we reach this stage it is similar to walking into a random bar dressed as your favourite superhero. You tend to learn about things rather quickly.

I think there are natural barriers to dreaming development. The same way not everyone gets to black belt level in Karate. The desire to hurt others, be all powerful, invincible is just showing weaknesses of our daily personalities. (I think it is a normal part of growing up by the way.) It says so much about the state of our waking ego. It is where we typically start from, the baby pool for want of a better description.

I think that belief that only the baby pool is all there is, is another form of immaturity that keeps us from moving on to the next level. Its a type of ignorance that halts our development. Just like the big kids still in the baby pool, ruling the place, not ready to take their water wings off.

Later on we get our first experiences of the bigger pool. Its colder deeper, the other dreamers swimming in this are bigger and sometimes a bit unruly.

Later still there is the unguarded ocean, no lifeguards watching over us,no insurance, real creatures that can attack us if we venture into the wrong places, riptides giant waves etc etc.

Its vast out there, only you and your skill surrounded by endless wild depths.
      And accidents happen!

I think the primary danger one faces in lucid dreaming is one's self. Allowing destructive energy into your mind space is what causes these problems to begin with. If the consciousness of the sleeping person is very low, then it is probably possible to wound them physically from within their dream. However, the attacker will pay dearly for it. Dreaming is a place for spiritual development, not mind assassination. Keep your mind on where you're going and the good things you will find when you get there. It creates less trouble for yourself and anybody else who isn't skilled in defending themselves from subconscious monsters.

Hmmm. Killing someone via a dream... in my opinion, no chance. Doing basic things in shared dreams is hard enough (such as remembering speech). I seriously doubt anyone could kill me without a physical object or physical force.

Of course you can hurt someone if you dreamshare(But not PHYSICALY) You guys can fight 1 on 1 in the dream world, when it comes down to it. It be the person with the best dreaming abilitys who win, which means, MIND VS MIND.

I want to learn how to DreamStalk, It would be so much fun to fight someone 1 on 1! SKILL VS SKILL, MIND VS MIND.

IMAGINATION VS IMAGINATION. It all comes down to the best!

Sorry, I read the whole topic a while back, being the stalker that I am(Night Stalker perhaps?). But I thought that they were just two girls in Africa, who played WoW and made the whole thing up. I'm somewhat surprised that this topic isn't being met with any hostility. Seeing as all the other ones get a barrage of "That's not possible" or "You're all crazy for believing in that".
Speaking of which My sister just had a shared dreaming experience with her friend after smoking Mugwort, they saw each other at a marketplace oddly enough.

I haven't seen him in awhile. I think Nomad encountered him last, and from what I can tell, he still has the limp.

But perhaps going all out with physical injury isn't necessary to test this. I once read about a guy who claimed he could leave marks or tattoos on people (not real tattoos). Stuff like a red triangle or square on the skin that would eventually fade.

Holy Crap...I need to act like a DC in a dream to not be suspected of lucidness.
