When you're speedrunning but bump into an invisible wall... That's the sort of stuff that kills your run (or your flight in that case)
You know I've never attempted any transformation. Pulling off a dragon must feel awesome though! Getting ideas for next time here...
Nice LD. Dream food is always amazing, I need to taste that dream ice cream !
I'm jealous of all the dream food you get. All I've had so far is wall and an apple!
Actually, since our last convo on location awareness, I've been using that as the major component of my SAT. I usually lead in with illusory form, then transition to determining if I understand where I am. Even if I believe I understand it, I suspend that certainty and follow through with making sure everything is exactly how it should be in the environment - a game of 'spot the difference'. I then do a more Sageous approach after, questioning how I got to where I am/what I was doing as well as what I will be doing. Then finish up with a reflection on feelings and a final determination. As far as the first question, during the day I don't really reflect on my location if I have a lapse of awareness and realize I'm in a new place. I do raise my awareness in general quite a bit though (self awareness focus throughout day). In dreams, I wouldn't say I really notice the scene skips either. Mine actually don't jump to full brightness - that's cool! I usually have to look for a bright area and head there; even if I create a light, it tends not to work as well.
Do you often immediately reflect upon becoming conscious in a new scene? Have you been working specifically on location awareness/reflection in the daytime? I also find that dim lighting is a dream sign! Interesting that once I become lucid, they usually switch to full brightness (at least recently).
That's one hell of a cake! I've never eaten in dreams, but it seems to definitely be something worth trying out.
Nice lucid as always. See you went for the points in the first parts Trying to avoid doing that myself self this time around, usually just makes me lose awareness and grip of the situation quicker. Trying to stay with the natural flow of the lucid and not steer it away into obscurities.
This feels kind of normal…somethings off… Classic dream logic, lol
Sounds like a bunch of fun dream control practice, is Syrano a place you often go to in dreams?
what a way to start the comp, amazing control!
"Check this out guys - I’m going to levitate." and now I imagined your profile avatar xD
Wow. You're LD rate is through the roof! Way higher than around a year ago when I'd last seen your DJ entries. Gotta admit, I'm kinda jelly!
Thanks! Actually a persistent realm that started from my 2nd lucid (1st after knowing what LDing is). It's basically by childhood neighborhood recreated in the dream world, yet the fringes transition into some interesting areas that I'm still exploring! The cool thing is that even times when things get altered in NLDs, I see the changes in the realm. People sometimes thing re-creations of real life areas can be boring, but I actually really like the place. My family is sometimes there too so I get to have funny interactions with them sometimes.
Nice lucid! What's Meadow? Persistent realm? Dream Palace?
I notice dream glow and become lucid. Is this happening without a WBTB, basically just MILD? If so, do you have any recommendations on how to train the brain to get to that point where this happens? I've really only had success with WBTB lately. Practicing awareness more during the day I suppose? I notice my left eye is shut a bit and figure it’s my sleeping body. I shout for clarity, drop down and rub the floor, stand back up, and the vision issue is resolved. Definitely going to remember this one. I've had the same issue with one or both eyes being stuck. Makes me wonder if you've actually moved your real body, or otherwise severed whatever connection your brain had to simulate the eye being closed? I've had cases where I was laying with my eye into the pillow for example. Anyway, cool lucid man
Using a dresser to go to Narnia would be epic. But in general any door can work for teleporting. Thanks for the shout out
Which Brandon Sanderson book? He's my favorite author
Great lucid man, total motivation booster reading it!
Damn - you're killing it! Did you meet Andrew Holocek, or are you referring to advice in one of his books?
