An Argonaut of the dream world, the Oneironaut. Every night a journey, every dream an adventure, every moment a treasure.
Dream I'm a student studying Archaeology.. I'm in a cave area that's been excavated, there's a sort of ledge which I'm sitting on to look at stone engravings. The cave is apparently on a beach where an old civilization may have once existed. The engraved stone looks like sandstone. I notice how the inscriptions depict the missing civilization of people that apparently uprooted their lives to move to a special location, except that's not what the official record is. Apparently someone else interpreted it as these people moving to spread themselves throughout the world, but I believed differently. My professor walks in, I mention my thoughts and say that it makes no sense for them to 'spread throughout the world', it was a hypothesis at best and was mentioned (without proof) that these people were the most advanced species at the time, being the first to discover fire and develop basic crafts --- they were trying to say that by spreading their genes they allowed other humans to evolve their intelligence and also discover fire. Eventually the dream changes, I'm walking with a couple guys to the alleged location that the missing people moved to. It seems like there's a special hot spot of energy... Apparently there's apparently some event that occurs every 10'000 years that will be happening soon (and marks the time the mysterious race of people disappeared). There's some dream backstory about how they stopped demons from invading by fighting them off at this energy hot spot. It's dark outside as we walk... At some point, possibly prior to heading to the energy hot spot there was an event where there was an old lady in a car. I think I was in the back seat and we could see heaps of birds suddenly migrating in the same direction. Then this old crazy lady called 'Grey Cash' by the village went hurtling by, as if blown away by the wind. This apparently meant that she could sense the same thing driving the birds, a catastrophe. Back to the dark night where we were walking.. We come upon a house in a forest, it resembles my parents place. I think we decide to go inside. Before going inside I spot a girl walking around, about my age. She has a spotlight and seems to be looking for something. It's not safe out here, the screeching sounds are getting louder and I have a feeling something bad will happen if she stays outside. I talk to her and she says she has been looking for the voices.... They come from no where, she says. I take her back to the beach so she's safe before I head back to the house in the forest. On the way there's a girl I meet who's called 'The Rat'. She isn't ugly or anything (quite the opposite), she's called that because of her skills in infiltration and hacking. She wears a hooded tight jumpsuit and there's something 'futuristic' about her. She takes me somewhere and the place is somehow not of this world... This part of the dream was a bit difficult to recall and even more difficult to describe. I'm in the house with the other 2 guys, it's dark outside and the room resembles my moms old kitchen before we renovated it. 'Grey Cash' is also there, she is apparently the mom of one of the guys I'm with. Grey Cash apparently needs to go outside and get something from the beach. Wait, what? That's like 30 minutes from here. She leaves though before I can rationalize anything. It's so dark and menacing outside though. I tell the other guys it's not safe outside, they agree. I say "I'll go out and get her. Well.... Not alone of course. That would be dumb" (knowing full well that there's only 3 of us and that the person on their own in a horror movie is usually the one to die). I'm basically trying to edge a second person into thinking that the logical thing to do is join me . I leave the room briefly to enter the lounge (can't recall why) and then return to the kitchen. Grey Cash is back and smiling as if she'd never left. What the? That's not right... My immediate thought is that something is wrong (like she's a ghost or something) and that she shouldn't be able to do that in a dream. In a dream? Uhh... Then I think "oh right this is a dream. Duh." I do a reality check and succeed, I'm still in the kitchen with the other people around me. I immediately try to do the water ball challenge that me and Emnition are doing. Heading over to the sink I cup my hands, planning to manipulate the already-present water droplets in the sink to coalesce into a ball. It works on the 3rd attempt. The ball of water floats between the space of my hands bobbing up and down. Grey Cash was spooking me out in the background as she still had the "Oooo I'm a ghost" dream plot going, threatening to make a nightmare out of a good dream. I turn to her and said 'Fuck off' casually, then flick my fingers at her and she went 'poof', disappearing instantly. Hot damn I'm good. I wake up, pretty happy I did the challenge
Dream I'm in a forest made of mostly bamboo, my friend Daniel is here. We're playing some sort of real survival game and we seem to be cats. The game starts and Daniel pounces off somewhere and hides so that no one knows where he is. Also he has the advantage because he knows where we all are.. I head into an opening nestled beneath a dense pack of bamboo forest, it's cosy here. I make a small bedding area. Sweet, home base is set up and I can operate out of here. Dreams are extremely hard for me to remember on work days >_<.
Dream I'm in a forest during day time for a school trip of some sort. I'm hanging out with my friends, I recognise Cameron here. I show him how to identify magic mushrooms as we walk along. He's like "oh cool man, dude that's awesome" as I remember him being really keen to try them IRL. We're heading down slope with the group, ahead of us they're talking about how they just found a huge nest of blue lipped mussels. The mussels apparently clack their shells in order to bounce around, achieving a sort of momentary flight-hop to get around. They're not even in the water either, they're just on land for some reason. I imagine that there must be a river nearby that they came from and we all start heading downslope to try find it. I remember also having something in my hand that I needed to feed, like a little animal. We came to a small river and waded in, only to get caught by a teacher who was peering over at us. Apparently it's illegal to try catch mussels from the river or something
SC1) 02:12 Dream fragment - I remember having some images flash through my mind but I couldn't tell what they were properly.. Maybe something about being in the woods, perhaps a pine forest? SC2) 04:14 Dream 1 - Trainer I'm in a barren place which is somewhat dark due to the heavily overcast sky. In the distance there is a person who is my trainer or friend and I can zoom in and out of him. I zoom in and adjust my workout routine then zoom back out. I think something happens and I need to adjust it again so I zoom back in and out. I know I'm dreaming as I'm doing all this and I feel like it's an nREM dream. Dream experience: 0 (pretty lame) Dream awareness: 3 (even lower than the second dream but still lucid) SC3) 05:18 Dream 2 - Starry sky I was in a dark and barren place at night again, I think somewhere nearby there was a lone petrol station by a road. It was like I was in the desert or something. I become lucid and realize that there's no way to control this dream so I decided to try and enjoy what was already happening. I look up into the sky and see a beautiful starry sky behind clouds of violet and orange, as if the clouds themselves were ascending to become nebulas in our solar system. I felt my body just start fling around backwards and all over the place while I was looking up, the world was spinning around me. I could feel the wind on my body as this was happening, and I noticed my vision grow dim and the sky seemed to fade away. I then focused on the wind tingling against my body, it was so sharp and vivid that when I focused on it I felt like my body had an immediate sense of excitement shivering all through it. This was the last thing I felt as I woke up straight after. Dream experience: 5 (the sensations and sights were really quite powerful but it was still too short and no control) Dream awareness: 3 (low level lucidity) SC5) 07:35 Dream 3 - Hiking in the bush I remember hiking uphill with some people. The route we were taking was off the trail and we somehow knew roughly where we were supposedly heading. I remember reaching our destination and we went around it and up the side to the top of a hill. On this hill I think we felt like we had no way of getting back home. After we sit around on the hill for a while I announced that I was going to head back and find a way home, my memory is pretty good so I roughly remember the route we took. I didn't expect anyone to come, and surprisingly some people actually stood up and decided to follow me. I felt a little touched by this . I walk down the hill with the others following me and look across to the forests' edge which we had emerged from. I saw the stony area which we had traversed to get here and told everyone that's where we came from. I then saw a pathway, hmm strange? We could probably take this trail back? I look around for a sign to get an idea for where it heads and see one off to my right. I can't really remember what it said though.. One of the girls following was a bit of an airhead, and didn't like that I was leading the way. She said that we should go around the hill and proceeded to prance off in that direction. Oh my god >_< that's the way we took to get on top of the hill you idiot . This annoys me a bit since she seemed to have forgotten that fact :/ I think I wake up after that though. Dream experience: 3 (not very vivid or interesting) Dream awareness: 1 (not very aware) I also had another dream which I recall was really sexual but I can't remember anything about it

Black: non-dream Blue: non-lucid Red: lucid Dream - Dinosaur Hunt I remember running REALLY fast, I think I had a companion (whom might have been some sort of monster, if you've seen 'Ushio to Tora (TV)' then it was almost like that). It was night time, and as I was running I met a large horned wolf running along a road. The context of the dream was somewhat important to our interaction... I think we were hunting, there were other creatures that you had to make sure didn't catch you though. The wolf's name was 'Elbite' I think, he didn't want to team up with anyone which was the usual thing to do I think. Anyways, we part ways and me and my companion dart off down through some bushes off-road. A little while later we chance upon the wolf again, it's day time now I think. We're hunting again and this time the wolf is way bigger. The wolf is running away from something this time and I decide to find out what's chasing him. We dart off to the right into a splay of tall evergreen pine trees. The ground was brown with pine needles and the trunks of the trees were pretty thick (maybe 2-3 people needed to wrap around its girth). The monster chasing Elbite was a giant red T-rex that had a claw which it could propel forward to catch its prey. Things in this world were a little more advanced in evolution apparently. Elbite was playing hooky, dodging around all the trees as the T-rex gave chase, occasionally shooting its claw which would slam into the trees. I watched and stayed out of the way as Elbite seemed to barely evade the attacks, but it dawned on me what he was really doing when I saw the state of the T-rex's claw... It was battered and bruised, bloody and bent. Around this time the T-rex noticed me and I decided to hide behind a tree. Things were pretty fuzzy as well. The T-rex was more of a woman now, glowing white, I was still caught up in the previous run and hide scenario so I didn't notice the change (wish I had, wanted to get lucid ). She approached the tree and I knew she was coming. She came around the tree and glanced down at me.. Her skin was fair, her hair snow white. A bright glow seemed to emanate from her and the gaze of her blue eyes was gentle. I was confused because she was human-size. I had thought for sure she was huge.. My befuddled mind found it was an irregularity which caused her to begin growing. I'm absolutely sure that if I had stayed in the dream longer then I would have noticed that I had been dreaming. But as it happened I pretty much just woke up as it was all changing... Elbite was pretty cool, if that really was his name. A better description: he was a large black wolf with two horns protruding from his head. He had red eyes and seemed really smart. The woman too was pretty interesting, I don't often have such profound dream characters which stick in my mind the way they did.
Black: Non-dream Blue: Non-lucid Red: Lucid Dream - Fishing and D&D I was in a river and I was a fish, I had to eat more fish to become a big fish, except at some point I become just a normal person and I find a really big fish. On either side of the river is dense NZ trees and bush that I find as quite a common occurrence in my dreams. The river was also quite shallow and very clear. I think the dream progresses on, as I seem to wander off with some people who are friends. I stop as I see something, almost like some has stored their belongings underneath some bushes (it felt like it was underneath a bed)... I stoop to see what's been left and I find D&D rule books, pathfinder rule books, heaps of cRPG computer disks in their cases and some other stuff. I immediately go hard-nerd mode and scoop them all up to take them with me, thinking how awesome it was to find such cool stuff . Must be related to the release of that new Pillars of Eternity game in 3 days and how I've been playing BG2 to fill the time During my WBTB I had some Mugwort tea, once again nothing really happened except being unable to recall dreams as well I as I usually would (hence only 1 dream). I feel it's caused by a drowsiness effect the tea seems to have... This kind of conflicts with another night where I had slightly more exotic dreams, like "The Wild" where I saw all sorts of crazy cool creatures... So I think there's a minor increase in vividness and exotic imaginings but it's pretty useless if you can't recall your dreams in the end :/. I can only surmise I don't have the right strain of Mugwort, since this contradicts the insane accounts of crazy vivid and strong dreams...
#78 4 dreams on the first night - sex scene - running from armed men - zombie chases me -ex gf got assaulted by a stranger, I look after her, then me and my other friends go running through a mall #79 2 dreams second night - in the 'Wild', crazy cool. lots of interesting alien species - go to a chefs kitchen, i get in the way, then i go to a beach, shit gets messy (literally) Note: I typed up all these dreams then accidentally deleted them all, so screw writing them up again >_< 'The Wild' dream - tagged as memorable.
