yupp congrats sounds like a really cool dream with some new and cool experiences! i still can remember one of my early lucids aka one of the best lucids. retroperspective i didnt do too much but at the time it felt extraordinary^^
Thanks That was, bar none, the best lucid I've ever had. It's also only the second time I've taken galantamine, and the first time I took a full dose - I hope I have continued success with it. Now that you bring it back to mind, I think the weirdness with getting out of bed was partly because I somehow had it in my head that I was starting a WILD and had to move carefully so as not to wake up my sleeping body.
I have trouble getting off the bed and end up face-planting on the floor. Ouch. Good lucid you had, congratz!
Instead of hand rubbing, next time try brisk movement. Anything which generates a feeling of momentum.
Its great how having two dogs present made you lucid. I use to have dreams where more than one dog would be present too. :3 It would have been cool if your vision came back but perhaps next time it will come back again. Reminds me of the time I had to wait a bit for the dream to start again after it was disappearing. XD Sort of like it went on lag/glitch mode and I was waiting for it to play again.
I Know what it's like to be playing a videogame, on the computer or anything with technology. It's like your actually in it, but not. Btw thanks for the post, it's nice to see content that I can relate to.
Unfortunately, bizarre public bathrooms are one of my most common dreamsigns. They crop up fairly often, and they're not only strange but usually fairly uncomfortable as well. Despite their frequency in my dreams and practice in real-life bathroom of "if I'm in here and something bizarre happens, I'm dreaming," I've still never managed to get a lucid from one
About that bathroom dream you mentioned over here...well, the same thing sometimes happens to me, too! And whenever I do find an empty stall, most of the time all of the toilets I see are just strange-looking, rather. And whenever I do sit down on one, I'm always having a hard time trying to go. The weird thing is that I would never actually go in real life while I am going in a dream! (Even though that happening doesn't seem to occur as much...) Oh, what can I say I hate these kind of dreams! And I don't even know why any one of us on here would have that, it's just sooooo weird!
Awesome job breaking that dry spell Nazrax!! And I nice lengthy LD as well!!
Keep up the visualization for a few nights (and also during the day) and you will soon have that lucid Keep up the good work!
I have the general impression that they were humanoid and wearing grey armor (much like the guy in last night's dream). Most of them were taller than a normal human (7 or 8 feet), but one guy was a few feet taller than the rest.
Alien dreams are cool! Do you recall how they looked like?
Battling an opponent where you each control pools of liquid sounds like a really cool game!
I just got back from vacation, and I'll be going camping shortly. The guy with me at the table is an avid camper (though I've never gone camping with him). Strange bathrooms are a frequent dreamsign. I used to love Descent, though I probably haven't played it in 10 years (though I'm keeping tabs on a remake that should launch Real Soon Now (though there hasn't been any news on that project for a couple of months)). I have no idea where the military or infiltration dreams (or anything in them) came from. Is that what you mean by symbolism? Or were you thinking of something else?
Lots of symbolism in here... wow!
Alas, though I do plenty of RCs throughout the day, I've never done one during a non-lucid dream. During the handful of lucids I've had, I've found them useful for grounding myself in the dream (not to mention fun - I love the feeling of breathing through a pinched nose); but all the lucids I've had have occurred by themselves, and all but one of those were directly after a scene change.
Nice dream. Make sure to do lots of RCs at work, as it will help you to turn lucid when you dream with work!
Sometimes, I'd just really love to sit down with my subconscious and ask it where these things come from ... I haven't seen Star Wars in years.
I loved the darth vader one. Oh my sides...
Thanks It's nice to know someone actually reads them.
