Sydney's Nightly Adventures

I remember being in my step mom's car. There were some kids playing in the street. Slowing down a bit, the big suburban would not stop. There was an Asian kid choosing which way to get out of the way (he was the closest to the car). At the wrong time he chose to go left, but too late. The suburban hit him and many of the other kids playing, who didn't see the car. My little brother was one of them.

I screamed. The suburban came to a sudden stop, and I saw bodies piling up on the window. I opened the door and ran out to check to see if they were alright. My brother was laying on top of the rest of the kids, and they seemed fine. He said, "Your okay, your okay." to a crying 6 year old, grasping his leg. I glanced over at the first Asian kid that got hit. The last thing I heard was: "He's not moving!"
