That sounds awful! Bugs are sooo gross. I remember last summer once I had to go to a gas station near my house to fill up because I was low on gas, and it was late at night and there were so many june bugs swarming around it from all the lights that it basically looked like a giant june bug tornado had formed. DX I was traumatized standing there filling up my tank, I had to keep reminding myself that it'd be over soon lol.

But yeah, it seems like changing settings is just generally not really that hard for me. It doesn't really require much effort, it seems more like a subconscious thing. I think it, it changes.

It's always hard for me to change the settings in a lucid, and you can do it so naturally. And lol! I share you hatred for bugs, Aly. Your first dream reminds me of a non-lucid where I killed a bed-bug three times, and whenever I watched to my feet, it was there on the floor, screaming meep-meep

I guess so. It depends on how big of a party I'd want to have. I usually prefer hanging out with just a few friends though so that's how I am normally, we just don't treat it like a party. At least, not a party with drinking. For certain things I'll do it on impulse....

"Hey, are you guys free to chill right now? I've got acid, shrooms, and weed. Bring some tabs and speed if you've got some."

Of course, I don't do that anymore.

Well, if someone cannot come, you just phone to other friends, tell them to come, and they come bringing a bottle or two and some food at times.

Yeah, I would've had some fun if I was lucid. Ah, well that does make feel a little better actually, I definitely don't have to deal with anyone like that. Sorry that you have to!

Well, I don't know about staying for only 3 hours. That kind of depends on that party, but at least high school and college parties and the like can often last much longer than that, but I know like most of the parties people I know anywhere from like just above college age to around my parents' age have usually don't last for more than a few hours, at least not the main event. But yeah, I've never even heard of going to a party that wasn't previously arranged. o.o Except maybe in very rare occasions. How would you make sure everyone could fit it into their schedule if it was just spur of the moment?

Sorry for your being frustrated at this dream, Aly. I know it won't make you feel better, but I have neighbours, who would come to ask for some sugar and stay at my home for some 3 hours, drinking coffee after coffee and speaking about how hard their lives are.
Hm, if you were lucid, you could make them do strange and crazy things.

Ah, is that true that Americans are used to going to their friends' houses for a party only when it is previously arranged and for no longer time than 3 hours? When do you get drunk if there were such a rule?

Thank you, Link. Yeah, they were. Every now and then I usually have really vivid nightmares, though, but not often as much of a mind fuck as this was. The worst part about being told that you're insane in a dream is that it's really easy to prove that it's true.

I feel sorry that you had to experience those things. Sounds like a lot of stress, but just know you have friends here who will try to give you that warm feeling again.

And I don't have the least idea why they don't like me. Just noticed it, nothing wrong with their feelings for me, only I prefer the waiters to be sober at work. And very few of them can keep away from those teasing bottles. And who likes the chief, in the end?

Congrats! In one of my very early lucids I changed myself into another person, but I couldn't manage it since then. During this one I also changed myself a little to make myself feel hotter. I don't know why transformations just happened to be so easy this time lol.

In my last lucid I successfully transformed myself. I think you did the harder work, lol! I'm not so sure that I would be able to change other DCs that easily.

Ah, and I hope to not have to deal with drunk waiters from the first night. Waiters don't like me at all and it gets worse if they're drunk. Anyway, the job is a great fun.

Yeah, it's pretty interesting, it's not the first time it's happened to me. I also like going back and reading recordings from a long time ago. I only just started keeping a journal like this, but I've written down dreams before that were particularly crazy so I'd remember them, but of course I still don't ultimately. But when I go back and read them six months later I'm like holy crap, I experienced this??

And yes yes yes! I just finished the last episode about fifteen minutes ago. My mind is still reeling. It's popped into so many of my dreams though, as you can see lol. I get LOTS of TV dreams, I just started getting back into frequent anime watching again and I've started having anime dreams too!

Something you mentioned happens to me a lot too, having a detailed dream but not even remembering writing it because you were half asleep. In my case though, I record my voice into my phone and I guess that might take less conscious effort than writing anything down. Anyways, it's crazy. Since I started doing this, most of the stuff I forget all about completely until I listen to it later on. Isn't it awesome to be surprised by your own creativity like that? Also by the way, I loved Lost too. I've never had a dream about it, but it's one of my top three shows of all time.
