Thanks for taking time to catch up!

I like that you poured the whole jar into your mouth. It's dream food... why go half-way, am I right?
Lol, yeah, one can enjoy all of the great taste and none of the calories. And oh, those sesame bars.

Right! I even think I might give lucid reading another try!

I have had this entry bookmarked for months, I'm so happy that I finally got around to reading it.

Your instrument was so creative, and I love that you came up with it on the spot!

I'm glad you were able to change the clothes and find something you really liked.
And I really love that you decided to try on the shirt - it seems like a real "stop and smell the roses" kind of moment, very cute!

Ha ha, sorry that the end result was disappointing, but great job getting through all of those doors in the end!

You know, when you passed by that ginkgo tree at the beginning I wondered whether you'd taken some WBTB ginkgo biloba and the memory had influenced your dream content.

Ah, so cool, Nyx, I liked this one from the very beginning little mini-scene where you're flying above the coast!

Your moment of decision whether to push through the shrubs was really interesting. You even had awareness of your outfit and what was probably going to happen to it when you forced your way through.

I was also struck by this line: '"I almost lost myself in a forest in a dream", I think.' It felt like a moment of realization that the dream events were carrying you away from your goal, but it seemed like you said it without worry or fretfulness. Like more of just a matter-of-fact statement rather than a real concern. That seems like the ideal mindset IMO, which often eludes me in the heat of the moment.

The zoom trick! I love that one! We've been talking about that for ages, since one or the other of us read Robert Waggoner, heh heh... (I believe that Dreamer used that in one of her recent lucids too!)

Also! It was cool how the mirror seemed almost like a giant bubble you could just pass through rather than the true mirror it appeared to be at first. One of my favorite old text adventure games had a cool scene that featured something very much like this!

Cool dream! That setup had incredibly promise! I'm looking forward to when you write the rest of the story in future lucids.

Congratulations, Nyx, great job! It even sounds delicious too! My mom used to make (and more often buy) teeny little sesame bars that sound like that. I wonder whether this tasted like this dream-candy.

Isn't that amazing? For the longest time, I didn't think such things were possible. Laberge even pins one of his core reality checks on text changing every time that you look away!

But even though text usually scrambles for me when my eyes wander, there are those amazing moments like this where you realize that a lot of our "rules" just don't always apply the way we think that they do!

      Thanks!

The liquid effect has also sometimes occured when I phase through walls, weird huh? But this was the first time I heard it too. Should be more observant to see if it repeats.

This is a very cool dream sequence. Congrats on the awesome dreaming in spite of the insomnia.
Being a bit apprehensive due to wall phasing experiences ending up in the void
I have this phobia as well. It happens so many times. There has to be a way around it. Maybe it's just a matter of staying focused as you were. Cool effect with the sound and the liquid surface. That's never happened to me. I always have to pretend like there is no glass.

Ha. I got a kick out of the doors. This sort of thing seems common. I wonder what causes it. Way to stick with it though. And I wasn't surprised the house was mostly empty. That's another common theme. Weird.

Oh, noes! I hope you forget all about those multidoors then! Hope I won't run into a power line next time I'm flying too - though these can be helpful if my own gravity runs out of control.

      And thanks!

I cracked up at the multi-doors. I hate those . My worst "dream bug," as you put it, is getting closelined by the sudden appearance of power lines while flying. Though, I'd say the multi-doors will be hitting me soon after reading this one, haha. Nice job on TotM, btw.

Yes. It was a really good idea finding a staircase leading down with expectation rather than trying to open the ground up.

      I may try this one.
Do you mean the task? Looking forward to what you might find.

Oh wow. I may try this one. Seems like a really cool visual even if it didn't last long. Those sudden awakenings...

Heh... I think that I know just this feeling. I'm glad that you were able to capitalize on it! It's very hit or miss for me when I get into this pattern, particularly if I feel any frustration.
Thanks! Though as long as there are feelings of frustration, you are pretty good at turning those into lds.

I also enjoyed your moment of frankess with the sister DC.
Lol, yeah, it was high time I took action!

I think that's a great way to affirm our LD practices!
Oh, this reminds me I still have to run more of those in dream affirmations about dream signs and the dream world. Thanks!

There is like zero effect on increasing my wakefulness but feeling guilty to be skipping my wbtb I keep waking up (yet still feel drowsy). I spend the remaining sleep time in a NREM limbo, a mix of deep sleep, HI and constant wakes.

I'm glad that in the end you got your Valentine's poem! It was nice, too, that you were teaching BF about the text-changing dreamsign just as you were experiencing it. I think that's a great way to affirm our LD practices!
