23.04.2012 (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was at some sort of formal dinner. The dinner/party was in the last floor of a tall building. The place was decorated in scarlet red, and with white fancy lamps. Most people who assisted the dinner were older, probably mid-40's or 50's. I was hanging out with the few people that were around my age, my friend Diego was among them. We were looking out a window into the city, it looked tiny from up there. Everyibe was having a good time, getting to know other people and just chatting and dancing. Suddenly what seemed like a fire alarm went off. The power went out but seconds later red flashing lights started going off everywhere, accompanied by a loud alarm noise. I thought it was just someone who thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarm. A loud voice came from the building's speakers, saying it was not a fire but rather a critical situation. We were told to lock the doors, and not let anyone in, or out of the dinner hall. Some people started panicking, confusion quickly set in. I took a look out the window into the city again, something didn't seem right. The traffic seemed out of control, and I could see people running as if desperate (they kinda looked like ants from up there). For a second I thought it could be a zombie outbreak, but Diego laughed at my suggestion and I then realized how silly it sounded. From across the room, knocks, screams and moans were heard on the other side of the hall's door. People close to the door stared at each other and started debating on whether they should open the door or not. I was worried about what could be on the other side of the door. Someone finally decided to open it, despite the orders that were given to us. People started rushing in from the other side of the door, some were screaming, others had blood all over them, some missing limbs and others... others looked like they were feeding on each other. It was then that I realized I had been right minutes ago, we were in the middle of a zombie outbreak. My friends and I opened an emergency exit leadings to some stairs, some of the older people joined us. Diego suggested we went upstairs, to the roof, but I convinced everyone to go downstairs instead, as the roof would be a dead end. After running down 10 or 15 flights of stairs, we were faced with a gate blocking the way. We went back into the building, we were probably on floor 40 or something by now. The building's emergency lights made it easier to see. We ran down a hallway and got to a huge, wide window. We could see the street better from there, and it was clear the city was in chaos. Some people started suggesting that we should just jump out the window, as it would be a quick death. Some people gave in and started jumping. Every jump ended in a nasty noise, which made us uneasy. I looked down, and thought about it. I could just step out the building and get it over with, but as we looked down to the body-splattered sidewalk, we saw something repulsive that made us (those who were considering jumping out the building) quickly change our minds: 2 or 3 of the people who had jumped, had not died on impact, but had broken most bones of their bodies and could do nothing but watch as the undead approached them to feast on their flesh. We knew it was just a matter of time before zombies arrived at this floor, and we would be done. We started searching the whole floor, and I discovered a balcony that was close enough to a nearby building's roof, we could jump on to that roof and make our way to the street. Dream Skips Diego and I are running away from zombies, I don't know where the rest of the group is. We had found knifes and axes, which came in handy to clean the path a little bit. We saw a bulding with survivors inside, they aw us and made a signal for us to join them. The building was small, just two floors. The main floor was basically a big U shaped hallway, with an entrance at each end. We were planning on spending the night there. We all found a spot on the floor to lay down, we had decided on having 4 people rotate through guard throughout the night, luckily I wasn't one of them. I was dozing of when a loud bang was heard. A car had crashed on the builing's gate, forcing them open. We all panicked, as zombies started rushing in. They got most people who were too shocked to realize what was happening, a group of 5 or 6 includding Diego and I starting running down the hallway. Zombies somehoe were catching up, these were fast zombies, faster than most of us. They got mostly everyone. It was just Diego, some guy, and I left. The other guy tripped Diego to make sometime, zombies catched up to Diego and for a second I thought it was over for him, however he managed to get up and catch up with us as we made it to the gate. Diego wrestled the guy, and told me to get to the other side of the gate. I obeyed and diego closed the gate, with him and the other guy just seconds away from being devoured by zombies, he told me to find a place to hide, and that it would be ok. I asked why, I was trying not to cry but it was impossible, he then pointed at his ankle, he had been bitten at leaat 5 times after the other guy had tripped him. I thanked him, and was forced to look away as the zombies catched up to them. I woke up, I could still Diego's screams. I looked at the time, I had slept through my WBTB alarm.
