    1. Nightmare: Terror Garden

      by , 04-07-2011 at 08:14 AM
This dream occurred about 90-minutes after going to bed in the first REM stage. I took a liquid gel multivitamin and 500mg of B5 before bed.

My GF and I were playing a cooperative video game. I remember fighting a giant turtle like monster and she was getting overwhelmed and overly excited playing it. The visuals were very 3D, even holographic, and her character was able to paint cross-hairs on the beast. (There was no fear attached to this part of the dream.)

We decided to go out. It was nighttime outside and all the street lamps were off. My GF was suddenly afraid. The darkness was making me apprehensive too which is not normal. I went to close my car door and it wouldn't shut. I moved the seat belt a little thinking it was caught. Then slammed the door even harder, but it bounced even more.

I looked down at the frame and discovered my wallet and cell phone were lodged there. I figured my phone was broke, but for some reason I didn't want to stay in my drive for another moment. I slammed my car into reverse, in a maneuver to shut the door finally using a hard left spin.

We jammed down my darkened block and near the end on the right hand side standing in front of a car was a cowering German Shepard dog. It was crouched, and it was trembling with fear wetting the street in front of the curb with urine. This was a big healthy looking animal, scared out of its wits.

We drove further and came to near to the spot of my last posted dream Neighborhood: Magic Garden. Standing in the middle of the road was deranged looking huge Rottweiler dog. It was starring me down hard. I rolled down the window this time to attempt to lighten the atmosphere with puppy talk. It just rolled its head, looking at me dead in the eyes with barely contained hostility.

We drove past and reached the exact spot of my last posted dream Neighborhood: Magic Garden There, kitty-corner to where the magic garden had been was a decimated house with the entire front end smashed wide open. I could see a couple inside. Dead. Nude. Frozen in positions of absolute horror on their sofa.

Turning down that street and driving further, the entire block was covered with thick green moss, huge fallen trees, and ripped apart houses. I could hear a massive number of frogs in the distance.

--At this point I whimpered out loud and it woke me up. My heart was racing, I was terrified, and I could still hear the din of hoards of frogs in the distance... The sound faded and it merged with my air filter which was set on low.

I don't have time to post my next dream from last night, it was much more terrifying and extremely realistic.

    2. Class Warfare: A Violent Future

      by , 03-22-2011 at 05:15 AM
The start of this dream is very hazy, although the recollected portion contains an element that was connected to the forgotten beginning. The visuals were all very realistic. This dream is similar to Monstrous Distant Future.

Myself, and a group of people were being stalked by well armed men. We made our way through what looked like a heavily fortified underground base. The halls were illuminated future blue and made of smooth cement with digital entry pads. We made our way through a huge metal door and it shut behind us. Now we were inside some kind of military garage.

It was almost pitch black, so I took out my flashlight. (This is my newest flashlight in real life.) I was looking around at different items, I could distantly hear the well armed men outside still. My battery died on my flashlight. (In real life, the batteries are getting low and need to be replaced soon.) I looked in my pockets for another flashlight and could only produce two highlighter pens. (Both in real life are low on ink also!) Someone else turned on there flashlight, and I saw a few armored vehicles around that looked as if they were being repaired from small arms fire.

One area contained a crashed vehicle that had been chasing us earlier in the dream. I remember thinking we should scavenge it for whatever we could, but the crash seemed very eerie. I lost my nerve to take the dead people out of it.

I made my way over to another heavy metal door with a glowing keypad. I exited the base into what appeared to be a residential neighborhood of three or four story buildings. These were condo like. Brown painted wood, with huge living room windows on the 2nd floor. Some of the group followed me out into this courtyard. Matte87 (from Dream Views) was one of them (he looked like he does in his profile picture). He seemed disgusted at how comfortable these people were, while our group was living like rats. (This was connected to something he mentioned in a recent Dream post.) He grabbed some rocks, and started launching them at this huge window - while just then a yuppie looking woman was walking up her stairs. I grabbed a coffee mug from off the ground and was about to launch next, but felt nervous to be caught.

Some of our group had made their way up to a clubhouse in this complex with a bar. I heard one of the girls, who I hadn't seen yet, saying something outraged and insolent. Then she let out this terrible and guttural roaring belching sound followed by two loud clicks. Fire filled the entire bar area and bottles were exploding. I heard our group cheering. I wanted to see. So I climbed a set of stairs.

When I arrived she had moved to the 3rd floor, and again I heard the same monstrous belching roar and two clicks. Followed by a flamethrower or furnace noise. I ran up two flights this time, and found a pleasant looking blond with a long pony tail standing in a small lounge area. She was surrounded by people who were expectantly waiting for her to destroy it. I said something close to, "Oh, let me see what you can do." She instantly became coy and said "I would but I don't want you to get a bad first impression of me." -I was suspecting something sinister now.

I said, "Okay, I will just turn around and you can do it behind my back." She agreed, and for the third time, and the loudest, I heard this growling chattering burping roar followed by two sharp clicks, like giant teeth. Then came the furious furnace-like fire sound. I remember thinking:

"This room is so small, she will burn everyone up."
      -Then I woke up.

    3. Nightmare: Old Best Friends & A Dark Cloud

      by , 03-17-2011 at 07:20 PM
This was early in the first sleep cycle. The dream didn't start instantly, that I'm aware of, but about 20-30 minutes later.

It was night time. I was living in my backyard neighbors house. In my mind, both of these houses were home. (They are very similar to each other in real life.) Everything was epic looking. Larger than life. The house was roughly double sized and decadent like no expense was spared making it. A bright moonlight night was outside my windows. I got a loving phone call from my girlfriend who needed a ride. I felt fantastic. I was wondering which house to take my GF too.

I went out the front door, but it exited onto my backyard patio. Standing there in near pitch blackness were my two lost best friends, in the old version of backyard (it was redesigned a few years ago). They were laughing and talking together, both harshly and intoxicated.

I don't recall exactly what was said (it may have been abstract) but it was very rude. I remember them physically surrounding me on both sides. Slapping me on the back. I felt offended and overwhelmed. They acted like crude, spiteful, burnout versions of themselves.

Just then, the backdoor opened. Out came an arm with a rather long thin, gray telephone receiver. I heard a voice say from inside the house: "Telephone for you!"

I thought, "Which of my old friends will be rude to me next?" I became very distressed and cornered feeling.
      --Then I woke up.

Waking Hallucination (?): When I opened my eyes. I was laying on my back. Above me, slightly off to the left and down a couple of feet was a large dark spot on my ceiling. I kept blinking hard. I'm sure I was awake. I looked around the room, all else looked normal.

The black spot was about a 2-foot radius. I started to focus on it carefully and could see that the edges of it were swirling. As if it was a flat-ish mist disc, or a rotating projection. It was slowly drifting away from over my bed, to the left corner near the foot.

I was watching it closely. The mist started to thin a little, and as it did: two faintly glowing eyes appeared in the middle, blankly looking back at me. They were about 10-inches apart, beady, and slightly smaller than dimes. After several seconds more, the "thing" gradually faded.

To my awareness, I've never experienced visual hallucinations upon waking up before. I was not paralyzed or having a false awakening. At no point was I afraid. I wasn't sure what I was looking at exactly. I felt more relieved to have left the dream, than afraid of the cloud. I got out of bed. I didn't go back to sleep for hours.

Fell asleep a little after 2AM and woke up at 2:38AM. Generally speaking, this is a weird time for vivid dreaming. I usually don't recall dreams in the first 3-REM stages. When I do, it typically ends a 90-minute cycle. However, I've noted a few nightmares in the first REM cycle after viewing shocking material.

Note: I have an unpublished dream journal of strong, bewildering nightmares that took place heavily in 2007, lingered into 2008. In June 2009, I had one terrible nightmare. Some of the recent trickster elements in my dreams reminded me of those days.

    4. Precongitive (WILD): Lucid Animals

      by , 03-16-2011 at 08:40 AM
I have been getting interrupted sleep the past several nights. I casually decided I could use this to enter REM instantly upon closing my eyes. I did this once recently while stressed out (Night Hike on a Freeway). This might be the first dream I ever remembered in which I was aware of being asleep prior to the dreaming beginning.

I saw an image emerging from the blackness. It looked almost like a small flower shaped hole in the dark. I could see a well light sepia tone scene emerging on the other side of it. -I became so excited at viewing a dream form from blackness that I woke up.

I laid still. I was determined to re-enter the dream. I have never re-entered a dream to my recollection. This may not have been the same dream, but the vibe was similar.

I was in the blackness, awake. A fully detailed dream location appeared. I was standing in the middle of the street looking at an old friends house I walk past on a regular basis. I lost lucidity for a moment. Then, as I watched, all these animals started to emerge from around the property. Raccoon's, cats, and then an adorable looking squirrel came hopping in my general direction. "This is a dream!" I said as soon as I saw it. (This moment is almost identical to: Super Lucid Blackbird Flying) I was thrilled. I turned around to take in the whole scene.

When I looked to my left, there charging happily towards me were four large shaggy dogs: Black, White, Burgundy, and Golden. I was so shocked by the closeness - I instantly woke up. (*)

Again I was laying in bed. I didn't move a muscle. This was not a feat of willpower, I was super tired. But internally determined to keep the dreams rolling.

I was in the blackness awake again. I saw a distorted face emerging a few inches in front of me. All at once, a mirror appeared and I was looking into it at close range. This sounds scary, but I was lucid. I started making various expression in the mirror. I looked more handsome than in real life. My skin was perfect and my flaws were gone.

(*PRECOGNITIVE*) When I woke up, I needed to pass that same house. I was planning to make it a good "reality check point." As I arrived I smiled. Looked at the house, then, I looked across the street. -My jaw dropped. Right there, about 25-35-ft ahead of where I saw them: Three medium sized dogs, black, white, golden - being walked by a 30-something woman wearing a hat.

The burgundy colored dog was missing. The real dogs were medium sized not large. I don't recall ever seeing this group of dogs before, although it's possible. I usually do pay attention to the friendly animals I cross paths with in my neighborhood.

In my first dream journal there was a tiny percentage of dreams that weren't quite precognitive, more like educated guesses Dream: 037 & Dream: 067. This 4-dogs dream is the first dream I'm aware of featuring:

      1) So many different dogs together I don't know.
      2) About 75% accurate and did occur asap almost at the exact location as in the dream.

I learned over the years that dreams produce: abstractions of people, mind tricks, fake conversations, illusions, distortions, false memories, etc. I never gave precognitive dreams much serious thought.

Supplements (before bed): 500mg of B5, and 200mg B6. First time trying this combination. I usually take one or the other. Generally, I've found these vitamins help with recall, but cause more shallow dreaming. This dream is consistent in general with past experiences without taking supplements.

    5. False Awakening at a Men's Spa

      by , 03-15-2011 at 09:17 AM
There was a beginning to this dream that I forget. I recall I entered a fancy spa while it was still broad daylight.

I woke up in a male only wash room sauna/wash area, inside a large blue tiled steam room. There were a few guys in towels in the general area and they were waking up and walking out. There was a video intercom on. I could see and hear a group of female employees talking together about working at the spa... The video quality was low, like a low-res security cam.

One of the ladies was saying how there were a lot of gay men that absolutely loved this place.
That they liked to linger until the place closed to hookup with other guys. -I became alarmed. I looked around and it appeared to be closing time! There were a few older looking guys with nothing but towels on. I wanted to leave asap.

I quickly ran up the stairs to a lobby area. There was that same group of girls talking. They went dead silent as I walked in wearing only shorts and a towel. They all turned and looked at me straight faced. I said:

"Oh hey ladies. I was just hanging out late because some of the guys seemed really depressed and I wanted to cheer them up."

-They looked at me really funny
. I realized my explanation had not helped the situation. I wondered how I ended up falling asleep here in the first place. (Low level reality testing.)

But, the place was vivid and awesome looking. Polished wood and marble floors. Soft track lighting. As I looked around for my clothes and stuff, I heard a missed call from my girlfriend. I couldn't find my things but I felt embarrassed enough to leave without them. I decided to call my girlfriend back. Instead of the call connecting, a recorded message played: it was a strong male voice. This is an exact quote (I text'd it to my GF the instant I woke up):

"You have crossed the signal line and are unable to get through. I assure you, it is nothing."

--At this exact moment, my girlfriend text me and woke me up. (PRECOGNITIVE)

Dreams have a real penchant for embarrassing us. This one was hilarious to me when I woke. I am straight. Like my last recorded dream (Stalked in Dreamland), there was a shocking trickster element.

The voice on the phone bore a strong resemblance to my own voice. I have unrecorded dream fragments about reaching a prerecorded message left by myself. One other recording in a dream sounded like something I said in real life to someone. I couldn't recall the exact words.

This reminds me of Dream #043

    6. Stalked in Dreamland

      by , 03-13-2011 at 06:52 PM
The beginning of this dream is only a vague impression of being with a group of lighthearted people.

I was inside a two story house with a carpeted spiral stairway. I saw this one shady looking guy creep down stairs to what I knew was my bedroom. I heard a laugh track (like a sitcom). Suddenly, I felt worried he was about to steal my wallet. So I quickly headed downstairs. My room was undisturbed, I walked over to my nightstand and grabbed my wallet and keys.

I turned to walk away. I noticed myself in a full length mirror mounted on the wall. I was wearing an outfit I didn't recognize. I had on a blue-gray shirt turned upside down. The fit was comfortable but in the reflection, my arms were out of the bottom end of the shirt. The short sleeves and collar were wrapped around my waist, unstressed and comfortable looking. I became embarrassed and took off my shirt, and put it back on the right way.

I exited the house out the front door and crossed over a white wooden porch. It was broad daylight. Before me was a rather large amusement park looking expanse. It had walls with outcroppings and lots and building scattered between wide open grassy areas, and walled sections. (The layout is hazy - and changing.) I walked around the area and I recall interacting with a few people (this was hazy).

I made my way over to a lively baseball diamond. A serious league style game was underway. (Not a huge fan of baseball but I watch now and then.) I decided to see how the game was going. A pitch was just then thrown and hit foul at my feet. I ignored it while the first basemen picked it up. A second pitch was hit foul at my feet, this time I picked it up and tossed it to the third basemen (for some reason), upsetting everyone and knocking him down flat and motionless.

I zoomed over to check on him and this cartoon-like man zoomed over at the same time, beating me to the unconscious player. He jumped on top of him in a flash, and sparkles of yellow energy emitted into the air, video game style. This startled me. Something about this fast moving prankster was alarming. I sped off the field to do something different. When I was several field lengths away, the wild DC yelled out: "Catch this!"

I spun around in time to see him launch the baseball at me in an arch from a great distance. As it came, it grew to the size of a football. I dodged. It crashed into a person standing nearby - utterly mowing them down with rotating white cutters. It was a pretty nasty looking way to die. I wanted to leave this chaotic character alone. I exerted great speed to loose him. (Something that works 99% of my dreams lately.) He gave chase and had no problem keeping up.

(The visuals/recall get vivid at this point.) I weaved through a magical looking hallway with multiple portals in it. One had a golden force field that I easily slipped through. I thought I lost him for sure, turned around, and there he was emerging from a similar circular portal. Huge grin, about 15-ft away. I decided to walk away at this point. Running super fast zig-zags wasn't helping. I started to feel trapped.

I asked him to show me the way out of this land. Now the DC looked a lot like the Madhatter. He gloated at my surrender and announced illustriously something close to the effect of:

"I will gladly show the way out! But first, there is something else I would much rather show you."

After the deadly baseball incident, I wasn't feeling curious. I said "No." Turned and kept walking slowly down a bizarre fun house like hallway. He said:

"All right, all right. Right this way then." He turned off the main hall and opened white double doors to a suspiciously dark area...

I said, "This isn't really the way out is it?" He looked at me sly and said, "You are right, but I really must show you one last thing before you go!"

I said "No!" and hurriedly walked straight some more.
      -Then I woke up
    7. Lucid (x2): Crime Pays & Coffee Shop Alone Time

      by , 03-06-2011 at 02:23 PM
Dream #1: I was with two hardened criminals. We were in a wide entry hall past the first set of double doors. One of them I took to be some sort of mastermind. He was showing us a device that beamed intense light into multiple security cameras at once. It also had a motion tracking gun to fire on anyone who interfered.

I got the impression we had rehearsed this particular heist a few times. When we were finally set up for the real thing, straight away a guard entered the hall through a side door and the auto-tracking gun shot him in the head, killing him instantly. An alarm sounded. I said "Does your machine have a way to deal with this alarm?"

He said "No. Run." I could hear sirens in the distance as we fled the scene into the city streets. Plenty of people were noticing us as it was just before dark. The city was unfamiliar. The "mastermind" told us to dump our top layer of clothes as we entered an alley way. We each did. I noticed we were wearing a lot of stripes and scarfs.

We made our way up a fire escape and I could hear and see police lights bouncing on building walls nearby. I felt intensely stressed out. I started questioning in my mind how I allowed myself to become involved in such a terrible scheme. I thought, "Maybe this is dream?"

My partners in crime were starting to get far ahead of me by roof top. I was thinking, "If this a dream, I should just jump off this building..." I hesitated. It was a good 10-story drop. I stood on top of a metal ventilation box to launch off from. Again I paused. Then decided, may as well! And I jumped...

Immediately I sailed into the air unaffected by gravity. I was extremely relieved at first, then excited to be lucid again. I glided around the city for a while looking for what I might do next. I spotted a power plant out of the downtown area and in a rural suburb with plenty of woods nearby.

As I went to land, I noticed there was a mass of power lines blocking me. I grabbed a hold of one with each hand and had the thought, "This might electrocute me." But nothing happened. So I decided to try something. I glided around the power plant collecting as many lines as I could hold. I had dozens when I landed. I proceeded to coil them up into a braided strand by tossing them out, like one unwinds a garden hose.

Once they were thick and intertwined, I looked around at the houses in the area. None had lights on. I held my right hand up the spit ends to send power to all the houses using my right hand. A huge burst of electricity emitted from my right hand. (Straight up dark side of the force.) I was thrilled at the raw power and visual quality of this effect. I looked around at the houses. Still they had no lights on. I did it again with more intensity. Again, a massive burst of fantastic electricity arched from my right hand into the power lines. I looked up again, and all the houses were light up now.
      --Then I woke up.

Dream #2: (I believe this dream started almost instantly when I fell back to sleep.) I was going to pick up my girlfriend from a party. I believe I was running, but at car like speeds. When I arrived at the party I was winded and the cops were there doing sobriety checks.

I told them, "Hey, I just arrived." The lady cop said, "Yeah but did you drive sober?" I remember feeling unsure. My GF emerged from within the house and told me she was ready to leave. We were on foot so the cops let us go on the spot. We walked to a coffee shop I have never seen before. There was a good number of people sitting around. I went in for a kiss, and she said "Hey, not in public!"

My lucidity from the last dream suddenly returned. I said "Oh these people are dead." -And with that, pointed my hands and fingers outward around me. No visual electricity emerged, but everyone was struck, there blood splattered against the walls, and they slumped over dead. -My girlfriend was horrified by this display.

I said "Don't worry." And repeated the same action again. The death was reversed and everyone came back to life astonished, laughing, and looking at me intently. I told them, "Leave us alone now, go tell everyone you died and were resurrected better people than you were before." They were delighted. Formed a single file line, and left the coffee shop. I leaned over and kissed my girlfriend.
      --Then I woke up.
    8. Nightmare: Extremely Realistic Alternate Life

      by , 03-04-2011 at 11:45 PM
The following dream I had on 5-hours sleep. This would have been my 3rd REM cycle which means this dream may have been over 45-minutes long. It was extremely, extremely, realistic. To the point that when I woke up I felt I had not been home in days or weeks. The visual quality, in complete honesty, was more vivid than real life. I say this because in real life our eyelashes block our view and veins in our eyes can make some lighting conditions slightly blurry. I have 10/20 vision so this was not a product of wearing or needing glasses or contacts.

I woke up. My long time friend Lynn was massaging my right hand as I did. She didn't look completely sober and she seemed very bleary and passionate about giving me this hand massage. I felt uneasy, because I have a jealous girlfriend and I was wondering how I let myself alone with Lynn in a room.

Sitting in the room on a chair a few feet from my bed was an earthy/hippy looking guy in his mid 20's with rusty blond hair and beard. Lynn was saying something to me about working my energies or something. She eventually got off my bed and headed out the door. The guy sitting there laughingly told me about how Lynn had pulled a similar stunt and acted really weird to someone else recently in attempt to practice her Chinese medicine.

I did not recognize the room I was in. It was beige, metallic, somewhat cramped and had no windows. I felt confused as to where I was or how I got there. The guy started making small talk (which I don't recall and) I wasn't paying much attention, as I had a sinking feeling I was some how terribly lost.

The guy suggested I go into the living room with him, so I got out of bed and followed him. The living room looked shabby and unimpressive. We sat down on a brownish colored sofa and continued to talk as I desperately tried to orient myself. Soon afterward, one by one, all my "roommates" came home. There must have been at least ten other people I appeared to be living with. I didn't know who any of them were, but they all seemed very familiar with me.

They all sat around talking to each other about various things. (This part of the dream could have easily lasted 10-minutes by itself.) I sort of made excuses for myself for not knowing what the hell was going on. I just woke up. I didn't feel too hot. But eventually admitted, "I have no idea who any of you are!" They laughed it off, and implied I had done too many drugs or something the night before. I started to become terrified of the possibility I had a massive case of amnesia. I hid it, but inside the fear was swelling up strongly.

Then, Sabrina, a girl I haven't seen in many, many years walked in with a big smile. She looked thinner and healthy and I stood up to greet her. I somewhat shouted for joy. "Sabrina! Now you I know!" Everyone laughed. At this point I said "Now I don't know if I'm dreaming or not." I was so relieved to see another person I knew, the fear level dropped and I could pretend to fit in a little. (This part of the dream could have lasted another 10-minutes.)

Eventually my girlfriend walked in and it looked like she had just got off work. She looked sweet and very calm like she had a good day. When I saw her I felt desperate to take her aside and confide in her how lost and uncertain I felt. She told me "Lets go up to our apartment." I felt relieved, because I thought we all lived in that small unit together and I couldn't understand why I would ever choose to live that way.

We walked into the halls which were also metallic and had dark worn-out atmosphere difficult to put into words. The place looked futuristic but extremely old like something from the movie Bladerunner. I followed my girlfriend up flights of stairs like a lost puppy. She remained calm and not alarmed. On the way up the stairs I asked her "Can we go back to my home? I just want to know that it's still real." She laughed it off and we walked to our apartment door.

At this point I turned around and saw a crazed looking man was following closely behind me. I opened our door, which sealed like the door of a submarine and had a bright red glowing light above the thick black metallic peep hole. I seemed to know how to open it perfectly well and I shoved her in the door, followed, then double locked ourselves in. Checking the locks from inside, they seemed loose.

Our door entered close to the kitchen. The place looked even darker, more cramped, and less inviting than the first apartment. I was starting to become very, very, uncomfortable again. Our apartment was divided into three floors. The basement level I never went to, but it was nearly pitch black save for a few red LED's on the walls. I followed her upstairs to our bedroom area. There laying on a chair was a very pale girl with shorts on sitting on a chair half dazed.

I was alarmed, but my GF explained that was only our roommate. I told her I couldn't take this place any more and asked if we could go for a walk outside. She agreed, and we left through a side door and went outside where there was only an empty parking lot, and gray looking forest. We walked into the forest and I started to feel dizzy. (The dream started to destabilize.) Horror struck again...

I put my arm around her for balance and asked "Am I mentally retarded now? Did I have some sort of accident?" She only just slightly smiled and looked at me. --Then I woke up.

I want to emphasize, when I woke up I felt I hadn't seen my bedroom in at least 2-3 days. I felt like a stranger to my own life, and I noticed that my real room was not as visually intense as my dream room.

This dream falls into a common category of my dreams: Bizarre Apartment
    9. Gunslingers & Ghosts

Dream #1: I was Clint Eastwood in the old west, and I was an outlaw. I was being taken to prison by wagon. There were numerous men, at least six, well armed to ensure I wouldn't break free. Along a dusty trail my wagon hit a large rock and overturned. The deputy assigned to sit with me was knocked unconsciousness and I manged to get my arms free and take both of his guns.

I made a break for it while the other men were confused. I ran about a quarter of a mile to a large ranch property and soon I was being pursued and shot at. The details get a bit fuzzy at this point, but I began a fairly long series of gun fights with law enforcement. I remember clearly I was using two guns blazing style, and like the old westerns, I never had to reload. I could see my bullets too. They were like tracer rounds and I remember seeing them hit men - blood would erupt - and they would fall.

When I killed one, a white ghost would appear briefly along side of me.

This wasn't alarming, and the ghost would fade out shortly as I moved around to fight another man. When I finally killed the last man, I took to be the sheriff himself, his ghost appeared along side of me and this one spoke to me. The ghosts looked strange. They had a glowing white humanoid form, but their faces were long and formed something like a small elephant trunk. The eyes were large and black. (Nearest thing I can find on the web, although these were all white and not dressed, is the white Spy vs. Spy.)

The sheriff's ghost explained to me that he needed to follow me a ways to a special point that would allow him to cross to the other side. He was not angry with me he noted, and actually welcomed being "freed from his body." I agreed, and I made my way back up the hill to the road the wagon had overturned on.

The specter followed with me the whole way and spoke in a calm friendly tone. We traveled down the path a bit further and came to a hill with a bright beam of sunlight. He said, "Here is where I can crossover." With that remark, he walked into the light and vanished. -Then I woke up.

Dream #2: I was sitting in my living room on the floor. My (passed away) grandfather entered the room and sat down in the big chair. I proceeded to tell him about my Clint Eastwood dream above. I thought it was based on a movie he had done "100-years ago" and my Grandfather just smiled. I said "Well not 100-years ago, but an old western he did placed in that time." My grandfather looked extremely real and friendly. He listened to me explain the whole dream with great interest.

Note: So Dream #2 was a dream in which I explained another dream to a DC. I had been thinking about my Grandfather earlier in the evening and he was a huge fan of westerns which we often watched together when i was young.

    10. Super Lucid: Blackbird Flying

      by , 02-26-2011 at 02:07 PM
At last another lucid dream! I believe this one was stimulated by a combination of me singing the Beatles song Blackbird, and Dead Space 2 in which the lead character flies.

It was around 9am with clear blue skies. I was standing in the middle of my backyard on a dead tree stump. (The stump was removed years ago.) Around me I noticed all sorts of creatures were crowding. Birds, squirrels, and then I saw a cute gray bunny rabbit. I was surprised by that, but even more when following the cute bunny closely was a Jackrabbit.

Instantly I knew this was a dream when I saw it. I did my traditional reality test - flying. I lifted off the ground with complete control and ease. The animals were excited and especially the birds. I felt a wave of mental clarity wash over me. My body vanished. My perspective became small as a birds and I began to loop around my backyard while the birds joined me in loops, spins, and songs. It was very playful, peaceful, and extremely fun.

I locked my focus onto a pair of blackbirds who were flying together still over the yard. I began to follow one so closely I looked it directly in the eye a few inches away. He looked slightly uneasy with my proximity, and maneuvered away a few wing lengths. After I had done this a good few minutes, I decided I better not waste this lucidity on aerial antics alone.

I looked towards my next door neighbors yard. There was pick-nick table near one of his two backdoors. I flew over to it and my body reformed so I could land. When my body reappeared - there was an aerial hiccup as if I hit wind drag and gravity again. I started to drop but hovered at the last instant to ensure a soft landing. At this point I stepped off the table and onto the ground. I clearly remember thinking "There is no way I could forget this dream, it is much too real to forget." I considered waking myself up as I headed for the door, but I really wanted this feeling to continue.

I opened up my neighboors backdoor, excited to see how my dream would handle this. I stepped into his garage which was huge inside. Bigger than the house itself from the outside. I could hear my neighbor walking around upstairs, and I had the impression he was just getting out of the shower. I chuckled to myself about it. I began to look around the garage and I saw there was a collection of bikes and motorcycles. Out of the garage windows I saw one of the main streets in my city, and not my own block which I should have seen out those windows. I smiled to myself and thought "My dream got that wrong."

I started looking for a motorcycle I liked. There was a blue one similar to the first bike I ever owned (!) - a bicycle designed to look like a dirt bike. This also tickled me. Before I could mount it, I looked up and saw that my neighbors garage had a second floor balcony. I slightly worried he might react to me taking the bike, but when I looked up I saw more windows with people starring back down at me. I had the feeling I was at the London stock exchange (I don't recall ever seeing it before).

There were business type people up on the balcony behind windows that were too back light by pale white light to make out much more than silhouettes. I vaguely recall being asked to do some work for them by a short haired gruff woman in a business suit. The clarity and lucidity evaporated and I woke up shortly there after.

I didn't remember the dream when I woke up, despite my lucid confidence. I sat still for about a minute, tried to remember my dream and the details above rushed right in. I want to stress how clear minded I felt in this dream. The visuals, flying sensations, and audio were very high quality.

    11. World Reality Merging

      by , 11-17-2010 at 10:10 AM
The past two nights I've had complicated lucid dreams, that I only remember in fragments. I'm not remembering to remain motionless when I wake up, and every move I make weakens my memory of the dreams. They are very weirdly disjointed dreams that possibly mark different brain modes and rhythms. Or possibly just minor adjustments of my head while asleep?

I was in a multi-storied apartment building crossed with a community center. It had vibrant red checkered floors and lots of friendly people. I was with ex-girlfriends off and on. And I was also with a group of friends and family. At some point I was lucid and started to fly. I vaguely remember a flying Disneyland style tea cup! I was using it to fly others around with me. I also remember passing through "a rip in the dreamscape."

To my horror, I remember very little about the events leading up to the fantastic conclusion:

I was standing in front of my Mother and Ex-girlfriend. I was holding a cylindrical rod in my hands. I asked them in a somewhat smug tone: "Do you like how I merged the dream world with the real world, permanently?"

I remember they were reclined with drinks, looking very comfortable in the luxury high rise apartment I was standing in. I remember reviewing in my mind the portals that merged the "two worlds." The rod was about 1-ft long, made of fine grain wood, and had two silvery caps on each end. Similar in shape to a pipe bomb.
    12. Zombie Trophy & Costco Housing

      by , 10-31-2010 at 04:35 AM
This was my last dream of the night. Unfortunately, I don't remember the first dreams. There was also a beginning to this dream, that I don't recall any more:

I was with a partner. I want to say it was a woman. I remember her being very acrobatics and focused. We were in an industrial area infested with zombies. I vaguely recall shooting one in the head with a handgun, at some point.

We entered into a huge cylindrical factory. Five or six stories high. The center of the factory was mostly empty, with multiple stories of girder like cat walks forming circles around the middle. I remember several (blue-gray) male zombies followed us into this area. My partner had something like a hefty trophy. Except the trophy was made out of zombie meat. It was like a cup with two large winged handles. It was a sickly skin color with dark greenish veins that ran throughout it, including the handles. It looked like a normal trophy, wrapped tightly in flesh.

This object (I knew I think from the forgotten beginning) contained the genetic information and viruses that made the outbreak of zombies possible. It was our intention to make sure that no one ever found this object again. My partner suggested we stuff it down a grate that was at the center of the factory. This was like a manhole sized storm drain. We did. Then filled the drain with gravel. Somehow, we ruptured the water mains next. This clause the entire structure to collapse in on itself. We barely got out.

I remember seeing the entire area submerge with water as we made our way to an island. This island was in fact a mound of my own clothing (!) situated at the far corner of yet another, still larger warehouse. I remember thinking: I hope my computer backup files are safe from this flood. At this point I began to walk along the far wall of this enormous warehouse and it emerged into a Costco/Target like superstore. One of the female employees, wearing a white lab coat and glasses passed by me and without looking up said: " I hate customers."

I walked a little further and came to the hair product isle. I grabbed some shampoo and proceeded to take a shower. Because situated in the shampoo isle, strangely, was my home shower. I began to wash and lather my hair. I had a thick full head of it. I remember thinking: why didn't I shave my head before I took a shower? (My usual pattern is to shave my head before I take a shower.) Nevertheless, I kept shampooing away as I looked around at different products on the shelves nearby...

The next thought I had was: "How does Costso know which stuff belongs to me?" Then, a final more horrifying thought occurred: "Maybe Costco will be (or is) in the business of public housing...?"

In recent years, Costco has gotten into the business of health insurance... I haven't been to Costco in years. Or thought much about their health-care. I have been searching my brain for creative solutions to the US economy. This is not one that occurred. Seems my subconscious hinting at a new hope: corporations that act in the place of governments. I was woken by my cell phone at this point.

    13. Night Hike on the Freeway

      by , 10-28-2010 at 12:12 PM
About a week ago, I went to bed worried. I recently lost a very important journal and I was attempting to clear my mind to remember where I might have hidden in. I started to dream instantly when I fell asleep - which has only occurred a few times in my life. I was not attempting a W.I.L.D.:

I suddenly found myself walking on 101 (a 5-lane freeway in California) in the middle of the last lane before the fast lane. I paused to look around. Even though it was a starless night, I could see in perfect clarity and the visuals were photo realistic or better. I walked a few steps forward towards an overpass that was maybe 20-ft ahead. In the dark, I heard a car crash in the lane ahead just beyond the freeway overpass. I couldn't see that far in the darkness... But, I could hear car parts flying everywhere.

One large piece of a car door came skidding directly towards me and stopped just at my feet. The visuals were so vivid, that I instantly suspected I was dreaming. I looked around again, no other cars or people were around. I moved my hand up as if to direct myself into the air. I levitated off the ground, above the height of the overpass with complete ease and control.

Stationed on top of the overpass was something like an unused construction piece with a tower like structure. Atop that structure was something large with multiple points, covered in a tarp. The dream began to fade. I thrashed around to keep it going, and I remember thinking: this is my chance to search my subconscious for information.
Instead, I woke a minute-or-two after I had laid down.

I still haven't found the journal. If my subconscious was providing me with some sort of clue, at present, I have no idea what it was. Nearest I could figure, the journal might have slid underneath something. However, I searched my floor thoroughly. Any and all possible interpretations are welcome...
