Memorable Dreams
The last dream I had during my nap today was a journey to meet my brother at his house. The trip started out with actual streets I'm familiar with, but after awhile I got caught up in the setting so much I didn't notice that the reason why I never got there was because the roads after a certain cross street turned into a random dream zone. The interesting part of this dream, is I was riding a white bear. Not just any white bear though. He came from one of my favorite video-games League of Legends. Volibear , "The Thunder's Roar". And, interestingly enough my dream mixed both League of Legends with the mount movements of World of Warcraft. I was riding him like a mount on WoW, but I activated his sprinting ability most of the way there, crossing intersections with cars going by like normal. Can't believe I didn't notice this was a dream, but whatever. When we sprinted, "Phage" activated. An ability on LoL that has an animation of red flame coming from the characters limbs. Without playing these games, this dream probably wouldn't make sense to most. But I thoroughly enjoyed riding a magical bear through the streets of Long Beach.
The lucid part of this dream didn't last as long as I wanted it too, but it was so refreshing. The dream setting started out pretty interesting- this is an old T.V. show so I don't know if anyone will understand the reference. There was a Jackie Chan Adventures themed fight going on in my back yard that led to my lucidity this time. Before going to sleep, I was thinking a lot about that show hoping to maybe get to re-live some of my childhood dreams about it. Yesterday I looked it up and watched the final episode out of nostalgia. During this fight one of the main characters Tohru busted the brick wall around my house, but I didn't mind... because it was Tohru. Anyways, a little time had past and I ran outside of my gate to see where the commotion had gone. I guessed that they had moved the battle to another part of the town. At that point I was put in a bad mood, I realized I didn't get to use any of the talismans or powers that were being traded off by the warriors- and all I was stuck with were the awed by-standers, and these two random school kids that kept on walking around asking if they could trade some coins for something. They had asked everyone around here multiple times throughout the dream, I have no idea what that was about. I decided to ask them what they were trying to buy off of everyone, they answered probably six times without saying the same answer once. The school kid's answers, mixed with the thought of wishing I would have used some of the Jackie Chan Adventures talismans instantly made me realize that I was in a dream. The kids were still trying to talk to me but I flew up and away, realizing it didn't matter. Just then I noticed I began to fly too fast, maybe I was too excited to start off without routing myself in the dream first. So I began to fall back down so I could calmly get used to dream realm without losing grip so quickly. That's where it went bad. I started losing control of where I could look and where I could move. I think that this could be attributed to the state of my sleep, sometimes when I'm dreaming- I begin to lose control and vividness if my physical body isn't feeling well. I got to the ground and found myself in a place that I now will always remember. I've been there countless times in other dreams, but I didn't notice how repeditive it was until now. It's a very beautiful and colorful forest with hundred-feet-tall trees that always(!) forms itself if I begin a flying dream near my house where I'm lacking in control still. Some green trees, some red trees, and some other small variations, it's beautiful. What's strange to me is this time, I flew down to the ground and the last thing I saw as the dream showed me my focus wasn't cutting it yet- in the forest was a submarine that I've seen there before. The last time I saw it, I had to look around quite a bit first- but there it was. Half submerged into the ground surrounded by shrubs and rocks. I thought it was so strange that I forgot this place. I guess it's my brains way of telling me goodbye. I have made it past that forest before, but it takes a lot and this dream wasn't up for it. I had one other noteably awesome dream after this one that I'll write down in a bit.

It was a pretty fast pase dream. I believe my role in it began as the head of the royal gaurd, in charge of personally escorting Queen Amidala to her safe room on the second floor of the castle. It started out fairly fast pace, there was an eminent assasination attempt in the process, and we hurrying threw the palace. Running up a flight of stairs, we encountered one of her hand-maids that began to distract us- i kept running and informed the women of what was going on. She ran right behind me, both of us on the protective side of the Queen (Between her and the open pillars we ran past). At every turn I informed them both to keep their heads down. We got to the end of the long outside isle and ran into the palace. Inside the palace there was a safe room, probably about twenty feet long and wide. The two of them waited as I walked out and signalled success to the gaurd. When I walked back in, Queen Amidala's character was being played by my wife. She got a lot more farmiliar and friendly, still being the Queen of course. She told me to come sit next to her. We sat down in safety, I put my arm around the Queen.
So, for the past fiew days I've been dabbling in different induction methods of lucid dreaming. Last night though, after quite an unhealthy dry spell of my lucid's I told my wife to wake me up around three in the morning when she would be going to sleep. She woke me up, I had a glass of water and a little talk- and then attempted to combine the WBTB, WILD, and audio induction methods all at the same time to try to overdrive my mind into remembering to remain conscious. And praise God it did! I became lucid in a dream of my own house. My wife and I walked into the restroom, and for the sake of my enphatuation with both her and the state of being lucid, I excitedly started explaining the mechanics of what was going on to her dream character. I told her, once we open that door- we can be anywhere, doing anything we want. It's up to you. She simply said, "I want to go back in time. Two days.". Naturally, that sounds rediculous when you have the full arsonal of my subconscious on the loose in our current realm, but I went a long with it because of it's special meaning. Yesterday, in the day time we had gotten into the worst fight of our relationship. It was a stammering, on the edge conflict that nearly broke us appart, but we made it through with an even stronger stride. So I opened the door, and we went back in time. Before we fought. Before we said things. It was a nice dream to have, even though it completely distracted me from my dream-state studies. I would have it again if I could. After that I had a false awakening, told my wife's second dream character about the first dream, and then it got strange and unorganized. There were a scene where her and I pulled into a dead end street with a bunch of husky Charlie's Angel looking guys parked around my truck (I don't have a truck in real life). One of them came up to me and started talking shit. So I reached for my keys, closed my door and took off. I think I ran over his foot, because him and a group of his friends started riding towards me. I turned out on the main freeway, just to realize that the freeway had turned into a mall... I was driving my truck through a mall, accedently hitting people. So I skidded to a stop, and walked up to a desk where... my wife and I began to casually go about banking business. Then later after a somewhat dark period, I remember being down the street from my house at night time. It was halloween, or something like that I suspected. It was an eerie setting, things started touch me out of nowhere and taunt me so I began walking away and noticed little stuffed dolls on the ground as if someone had been chucking them towards me. Half way back to my house I noticed a group of idiot teenagers giggling about it, so I climbed up the fense about to confront them- but instead just laughed it off and went home. I had some later dreams, but nothing concrete enough to report on. Thanks for reading!
