Had another lucid dream this morning using the Here & Now technique. I actually got to the sleep paralysis stage. It was scary only because I was expecting some loud noises or demonic crap to happen based off of other user stories. None of that happened. Here's the thing, I couldn't move my body but I could open my eyes. I opened them, expecting a lucid dream, but my body reanimated and I wasn't fully asleep yet - just in a void. I tried again and managed to pass the paralysis, the void, and eventually was able to move around in the lucid dream. It was probably 30 seconds of me walking around in the rain outside my house. I managed to fly, though .
I think I had two lucid dreams these past two days. I am not really excited about them because they have been like 15 seconds each roughly. Also, I seem to either lose lucidity or wake up and fail to re-induce a lucid dream. Need to work on stability.
So I don't even need to Meditate for 20 or 30 minutes before going back to sleep. I just need to lie in bed with a quiet, in-the-moment, awareness of the world around me; in other words, "Here & Now." This is because when I fall asleep, my mind attempts to put me under hypnosis or I guess hypnagogic imagery hence all noise of random thoughts. By being acutely aware and in the moment, I am forced to quiet my mind and fight off the hypnosis thus enabling me to immediately enter a lucid dream. I always start in my room.
Did the same technique as I did yesterday, and had a WILD. Funny thing about WILD is that I never feel the sleep paralysis vibrations everyone talks about. I just feel the transition and instantly know I am dreaming. In the past I could never get my eyes open. This time it took a little finesse to get visuals. I could however, move around my room and feel my way around. Tried to find dream character. Lucid dream ended and I woke up. I went back to dreaming without doing the proper anchor and I lost lucidity. The dreams were vivid, though.
SSILD + Setting intention got me a DILD. Nothing much else to say. Realized I was dreaming after urination for a bit too long.
Experiment with mindfulness...coming soon.
Realized I was dreaming in bed. Interesting dream scenario involving this mound of flesh that grew every time you hit it.
No better title. Had a memorable dream involving hanging out with a co-worker. An important tweak that I overlooked is that SSILD IS NOT a WILD technique. It's that when I made the sounds inside my mind louder and listened to them as if they are happening in real-time, I get sucked into them which is a sign I am very close to the dream state. The only thing I did not do was tie an anchor to it to keep my awareness for a WILD attempt.
Dreamed of sweep picking on a guitar and fiddling with some Necrophagist songs.
Dreamed that I was build a computer that had these super loud fans everywhere like on the monitor and inside the tower. The computer felt like one giant box fan. That's really what I remember mostly.
Several events happened in the dream world concerning league of legends, beyblade, failing several classes. Trying to buy a yearbook. Buying pastries. Visiting my old school. Partying to 1 am in the morning with this chubby girl. Catching a train in an attempt to get to college. Stashing pastries in a locker. Get moved to another lunch table because my grades sucked. The partying was the most fun. I remember us all dancing in this dimly lit ball-room type area. There was some kissing as well. In my back of mind I was thinking that I needed to get home asap or risk getting grounded. That's all. I'm at work.
Did WBTB Meditated for 30 minutes. While lying down I felt myself rotate on the z-axis 360 degrees until I was certain I was dreaming. Again I could barely move for some reason. My dream body felt heavy so my theory was that I was still sort of awake even though my mind was in dream land. Another rotation happened and this time my body was a bit lighter and I could get out of bed. I went outside my house a visited another in my dream. I remember telling myself since I had successfully performed a WILD I would be in here for a while but I only remember the first section of the dream up until I met a dream character and had a conversation.
I meditated for 30 minutes during my WBTB period then when back to sleep. During the period of falling asleep, I still tried to do a light meditation and not lose the mind frame I had minutes ago. I felt the shift which unmistakably meant I was in a dream. I could not move however; I feared that trying too hard to move would ruin lucidity.
Realized I was dreaming this morning and had an epiphany that made sense in the dream world but I can't remember what it was.
