      Teleporting Fail?

so i had a lucid dream last night.. nice short one. earlier ld's have been great and i have teleported before, and done a lot of stuff with great control. but last night was different, i attempted to teleport by closing my eyes and thinking about where i wanted to go and opening my eyes. the way ive done it before. but this time when i opened my eyes... i was lying in bed. maybe sorta rushed. what do u think?

Closing your eyes in a dream can cause you to wake up. I'd use a portal, a closed door, a ditch in the ground, etc. to teleport.

Yeah, never close your eyes. You have to pay attention to what's around you to keep the dream going.
I find that opening a door and expecting [insert location here] to be on the other side is the easiest way to teleport.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Ah, you teleport closing your eyes? Try this, after closing them, instead of trying to open them, imagine the new scene coming from the dark and then you won't have to open your eyes to be in the new place!

LOL. Of course! So obvious, now you say it! Do you use this method Walms? If so, when you close your eyes do you try to occupy the other senses in some way so that there's less chance of waking?

In an LD last night I tried to somersault into a new location but I kind of imploded in on myself and woke up.

I don't use it much, but yeah, when I do it comes with using touch to not wake up.

In my today's LD I tried to use door, but readgeless how vivid i imagined what is behind a door, nothing happened - the door led to where it leads IRL.

I tried to use the eye closing technique last night, I normally walk through doors though. Everytime I closed my eyes, however, I would see what I was just looking at like my eyes werent even closed. For example, I was outside my house looking at my garage. I closed my eyes, but I noticed that even with my eyes closed I was still staring head on at my garage? I got sick of it so I just gave up. Anyone else experience this?

Yes, I'm trying to perfect my teleporting technique.

One thing I want to try - that may work for me and for you - is to just cover my eyes with my hand and expect to be at the place when I remove my hand.
