I absolutely love lucid dreaming, but I also absolutely hate my Dream Characters.

They are so boring. It's honestly at times as if they're just robots or something, typically they express no emotion, and often don't reply to me if I'm trying to communicate with them. When I do get a response from them it's usually me telling them they're not real (slip of the tongue) and them crying or getting all pissed off.

When I tell them they're not real, I don't mean to insult them, I want to have lucid DC's.

Do any of y'all have dream characters who know they're DC's, if so how did you achieve that?

Also, is the behavior of a dream character entirely controlled by my expectations of them, or is there a certain way i should approach them?
