All pop songs have pretty much the same structure and many similar aspects, but each song has things that make it unique. Sure you might get tired of listening to pop songs (or in this case playing out the plot-line you described) if you did it for hours, but lucid dreaming isn't the kind of thing that you can just do mindlessly for hours on end. It's not something you can do everyday in the real world, so that's what makes it special!

Interesting argument, but you seem to have missed the point.

Well... relating pop songs to lucid dreaming was a bad idea.... as pop songs are almost always horribly similar to eachother and they are boring.

Not sure if you mean imagination or creativity.
Pretty sure creativity since my dream control depends on my imagination, and my dream control is good.

IMO, it would be awesome to have the powers from Prototype 1+2.

In your opinion? I have lost count of how many people would want his powers

I guess having a claw arm would be cool

I have, and if you count all the times she says "call me maybe", you'll hear that it can be pretty repetitive...

      Just sayin'

But I understand your point with the popsong/lucid dream comparison, and I totaly agree with it

Haha, it's such a silly song...

      BUT IT'S SO CATCHY. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

But on topic, I think one's expectations of what is boring or not plays a huge role in the enjoyment of the dream. If you expect everything to be the same and easy you might get bored faster than if you pushed your mind to throw challenges at you. I might even compare it to the whole thing of journey vs. destination.

I understand/know what you mean, and agree completely but, the topic actually reads "What is your favorite dream weapon" so... What is YOUR favorite dreamweapon?

You could almost make a new thread about that "boring vs. not boring LDs" haha

You're right haha. I've always wanted to wield an axe like Gimli and just chop through some orcs, so that's my current goal.

I just read through this whole pop vs lucid dreaming talk. Kinda funny, but it would be great to hear some weapons you all have in mind. I'm starting to think only physical or ranged weapons class as weapons. Magic is a little different in my point of view.

But I found a new type of weapon. The banana gun! It shoots out bananas. . It's super handy when exloring jungles and pissing off monkeys.

Last night, I was about to open a door. But instead, I stepped to the side, and punched through the wall with a flaming fist. That was fun.

That sounds like fun . Maybe you should try different types of flaming weapons. Try a flaming sword or something!
