      Changing scenario while flying?

      Hello,

Last night I had a very brief lucid dream. As soon as I fell asleep I randomly emerged in the air flying; I immediately realized I was lucid dreaming, so I closed my eyes thinking about the last girl I've ever had a crush on so I can see her and my dream ended!!!!!!!!!

In the future; how do I alter the scenario for what I want to dream about whilst flying, and in general?

Hi there. Welcome to DreamViews. It's pretty normal to wake up after being lucid. Excitement can do that. Also, it could be the other way around. You might have become lucid BECAUSE you were waking up at the end of your sleep cycle and started to gain awareness, which means waking up is inevitable.

There are various ways to change the dream scene. Check out this great tutorial! http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/mancon...-scene-119817/

If you need anything, ask away! Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Listen to her. ^^^

Closing your eyes often results in waking up as well. I think that it is making your eyes do the same thing as your real eyes, and losing the input of sight. When you are not getting any information about the surroundings then you can lose the dream. Nothing in the dream can happen without you paying attention to it.

As for the girl. Look in that little glade. It is right where she is supposed to be, fly down there.

What I always do to summon someone is to shout out their name and expect them to reply. Always hear a faint "yeah?" from behind or around a corner. Piece of cake

Like the others said, don't close your eyes, that will most likely end the dream.

Check out sivason's post in this thread about summoning a dream character.

And yes, closing eyes will cause you losing your connestion to your dream and it will most likely end.

Changing your dream scape while flying should not be much different than when on foor. 95% of my lucids start with me flying. Most of the time it's inough for me to just think, that something is around the corner. Not to wish for it to be there, but to think to myself - I'll pick up the bottle with lucid juice behind this corner. When you turn the corner, there it is.

To change scenes while flying, I'd try to fly straight up until I lost sight of the ground, then fly back down while focusing on my destination. I also might try to fly so fast my surroundings blur, focus on my destination, then slow down hoping I'll be there once it unblurs.

Really, any situation that forces the dream to create a new scene is an opportunity to get to where you want to go. And the dream will always form around what you are focused on. Stay focused on your goal, not what the dream presents you.

Eye closing can be used effectively to change scenes, and you were on the right track thinking about her with your eyes closed. Your mistake was using that technique so early in the dream before it was fully stable. It probably would have worked had you interacted with the dream world a little more first. Might help to be able to feel the ground beneath your feed when you try that next time too. Feeling the ground beneath your feet will help keep you tied to the dream.

I usually Luicid Dream every night. I suppose the desire factor has to be there in order to actively construct your dream sequence. I learned that desire fixes the dream/situation/scenario in place for me as I continue constructing the scenario as the dream continues. My physical senses are all present provided I want them or not, and I can experience things physically through my senses. I can feel a glass, the heat from a flame, the cold from water, see and observe a ball of light shining in front of me as it disperses, etc. VERY vivid and lucid stuff.

I can even enter this state of lucid dreaming when I'm conscious/semi-conscious through dissociation...by shifting your attention to your desired area of focus, you can begin constructing the dream sequence according to your specifications. If you want to fly while changing the scenario, why not consider yourself flying TOWARDS the scenario you want to create? Give it a countdown if it makes it easier; You do realize that as a lucid dreamer, your desire to be present and actively constructing the dream is what makes it so in the first place. If you passively dream the dream sequence sort of goes on an autopilot, and what ever happens basically HAPPENS because the subconscious autopilot thinking doesn't value/prioritize sequential/linear thinking, so the dreamer has to give it coherence in order for it to have any meaning.

Maybe a sequence ends, but it's up to the dreamer to create the next sequence of events. Remember LulzAnon, desire is what makes anything so in a Lucid Dream....you are basically becoming aware of that fact when you enter the dream state, as long as you hold onto that as an 'anchor' of sorts, that should help you manipulate the dream sequence to your desires. It's usually how it works for me.

Yeah I agree it was the 'excitement' that did it. Next time try to stay calm

henri, when you are RCing imagine the RC failing and all the excitement that comes with it, quench it well with a calming technique and then stabilize.

I definitely tried this once. I remember that i was being chased by someone and i became lucid so i started to fly, then i began to chase an eagle but since it was too fast i turned myself into an eagle. Anyways while i was chasing that eagle i realized i could do better things than that so i wanted to change the scenario while flying. It was extremely hard since everything went blurry, so i wanted to stabilize it, but in order to do that i had to be on ground, so i failed in my lucid dream. However while everything went blurry i managed to "discover" another scenario, it was like a city in the clouds and that's where the eagle went.

You have to keep in mind that in dreams every event is connected to another, therefore you have to make good use of that. For example i shouldn't have tried to change the scenario by force in my dream, i should have continued chasing the eagle since "it was leading me to a new scenario" (only if i thought the eagle was doing it). So you just think where you want to be, or who you want to be with, the dream itself will make the connections to make it happen.

i use my dream wand like harry potter to change or summon anything. it always works because i have seen it in the movie therefore i believe it. Once i wanted to meet my dream guide so i waved my wand and summoned a door which led me to him.
