Fly to space in a few seconds

There is a technique i invented in an LD that has allowed me to fly from Earth to deep space in a few seconds. Already made it about 3 times and with good results.

In the dream, I decide that I want to fly to space, but I can only fly a few feet. Then, standing in the air, i look down, open my arms (not too much, as long as they are in my field of vision). I look at my hands and to the objects that are close to my hands into my field of vision and slowly close the arms. It's like when we zoom out on a tablet / smartphone, but here is with arms and in full size.
In a few seconds, the Earth disappears from my feet and I'm in space.

That sounds good. Gotta try it next time.

This just reminded me, that I used "I am there" in one of my last lucids. I look at the place I want to be and think "I am there", which zooms me there. Tried to go to moon many times, but never tried this. Yey, looking forward to my next LD and trip to the moon.

That actually sounds remarkably effective! I definitely want to try this out!

Sounds like a cool feeling, have you ever tried just flying really fast normally?

this is what i did in my last lucid i was running down the street when i realized i was in a dream.. then i said to myself "ok if everything is thought responsive at this point.. i wanna be".. and instantly i was on the roof i was looking at from about 100 yards away. then i started flying.. when i started flying i had the idea to try to leave the planet. first attempt was a failure. i reached a certain point in the sky and was forced to look down.. when i tried to look back up there were nothing but black clouds with strings hanging from them.. then i looked back down and back up one more time and saw a beautiful pinkish golden sky. i tried to simply fly upwards but instead flew myself back into reality.

so much progress being made! i wish you the best of luck ^.^

      This sounds awesome!
I bet you could use it the other way around too, and get places in the distance really fast by zooming in instead of out.

Yes. I cannot fly really fast. I fly normally (like car-fast) but only horizontally. When trying to fly vertically (to space, for example) i get stuck at some point. It is why i tryed the zooming tecnique.

Yes. I did it a coupel of days ago. I was in space and zoomed in on a galaxy and then on Earth.

Hmm this seems like a re-occurring problem to most people. I don't really know a solution to it, I guess you will learn over time once you start to become more used to the dream scene and your abilities.

      fly
Hey, it is pretty hard to fly just "up" because there is nothing there. I would recommend aiming at the moon or a star and imagine getting closer and closer. Of course, Zooming is good if you are satisfied with it. I like to have a target.

Problem with this technique is that if it is day and their is no sun, moon, stars, or clouds to direct yourself, I call it the red ball technique. It was a fake memory that I had in an LD. Imagine a reticule (like in a video game) in the middle of your vision, look up and you should see it in the air. That is ***Insert anything red or whatever color your ball is here**** and you can now fly to it. It is a form of summoning an object, but a really big one far away. Hope this makes sense.

      Yes. You are right.

I believe that i cannot fly vertically too far because i did not have a place to aim, to concentrate on. I made the zooming technique because i had that place to aim close to me (the Earth). Instead of concentrating on getting close to the object, i made the opposite, being far from the object. This works, but once i get to space, i have nothing there, because i did not concentrate on space.
I will try your technique for sure.

I tried it today. Not sure if idea came first or after I saw the moon. But I tried zooming, unfortunatelly, it didn't work for me this time. Perhaps I just need to get used to the idea, since I don't have a phone with this picture zoom thingy. It sure is good to have more options in your arsenal. Was fun trying it, though.

Wow. A stargate? I've gotta try that one.

How do you go to your destiny? Do you just think of it and go, or do you dial up an adress like on the movie?

Oh, ok. I love Stargate and i'm currently seeing all of the series. I've seen the movie, Stargate SG1 series and i'm on the middle of Stargate Atlantis. Haven't seen Stargate Universe yet, so i did not know Stargate Universe's Destiny. Looking forward to see that.
As i'm seeing SG Atlantis series, i'm trying in my dreams to get to the City of Atlantis.

The zooming sounds like an interesting technique, I might try this.

I usually do like BrandonBoss and choose a target to focus on. If I can see the moon or a star I'll aim for that otherwise I'll pick a cloud until I see something else. I also found sometimes I cant fly fast enough but what I do is while I'm flying I will yell "Boost!". I know it sounds silly but it makes me fly faster.

Reading over the thread, I noticed you mention flying "up" into space. It may be easier to perceive it as flying "away" from the Earth, or whatever planet or astronomical object you began on, and flying "towards" others.

The zooming technique...is an interesting one, I will admit. In the rare occasion I had a lucid dream involving travelling to the stars, I had always used the above technique...perhaps, if the opportunity arises, I shall try this out.

I tried it last night and it worked really well.

The first attempt it took me into orbit pretty much instantly where you can see the curve of Earth. Then I did it two more times from Earth and ended up in an orange cloud like limbo which was odd. The fourth time though it took me just out of orbit and then I travelled to two other planets and used the technique again to get back from the surface into space.

      So yeah thanks for that

Cool!!! Nice to see you made it. And you were better than me. I just went to space. I still could not zoom back to a planet. But, then again, i just zoomed on 2 dreams.

Yeah I didn't try to zoom in at all, only out, I sometimes have trouble getting into space but once I'm in space I seem to be able to travel ok. I tried it again last night and didn't have any luck. Sometimes I fly good and sometimes I don't though so I guess it was just one of those nights.

But yeah it worked well the other night so its something I'll remember to use.
