But going with the remote idea, you should experiment some more. Perhaps there are buttons for increased lucidity, vividness, clarity and stability.
Well it was quite strange really because at first i would be in complete disbelief because I never "really" had control over my dream environment, and this disbelief caused the pause button to have a 5 second timer effect where it would go back to normal after 5 seconds or so. Strangely though when it happened, I had an epiphany about the relationship of emotions and time, it almost seemed that the excitement of stopping time caused it to start again and go faster, and then the fear of it going to fast caused me to press the pause button, slowing down time again.

The perspective of it was quite indescribable, because when you're able to rewind/forward or pause, the field of view almost turns into a television type thing where you can replay a certain event over and over, but in the most majestic way: when i I forward past that which I haven't yet experienced the "script" is powered by my imagination, and everything I think of immediately appears in a perfectly blended, edited and finalized movie quality clip which for a loss of words "resonates" with my imagination as the observer.

I haven't had this experience again, but next time I find myself in a LD i'll surely remember it.
