      Need help teleporting

How do I teleport to a new area? Almost everything I want to do involves teleporting but I always had difficulty. Don't say dream spinning, I tried it and it doesn't work for me

      must you actually teleport?
There are ways of getting around in dreams that are probably easier, like going through a door into a new area.

By teleporting, I mean changing the scene at all, I tried the door thing but that doesn't seem to work either. My minds too logical!

You just gotta practice letting go of logic. You know how dreams can be so crazy but seem to make sense? "Oh yeah, of course that turtle has spider legs and can crawl on walls...that's what it does"

Keep practicing and remember, whatever you want to happen in a dream DOES make sense.

You can always get a machine that will teleport you, use magic for spells that will teleport you or the kind of thing, logic won't mess with these so its ok.

Yes! I finally teleported! I used the door method. It took a few tries but I was finally able to convince myself that it would work and it did! I also tried spinning but it didn't work. Its a great stablizer though. I went to the Lucid Crossroads!

When I went to the crossroads, it didn't look much like it did on the website. It was this strange temple like building. But it was still the lucid crossroads. I even saw the blue receptionist!

I always had great results with going through mirrors. Basically you just push your way into them and come out some where else.

I do that myself... I've always wanted to see if setting up 2 mirrors opposite each other, then going through one of them would have any strange effects

can someone explain what this 'crossroad' thing is?... or post a link for me?.. I'm confused

Saying is easier than doing. Letting go every thing you know about the way things work is hard for the mind to do. Humans are creatures of habit it's hard to just let go of everything. Thats what Morpheus was talking about in the matrix when he told Neo to free his mind he was basically telling him to let go of every thing he has come to know about reality because the matrix isn't the same reality. So that the same rules and laws don't apply there. See i know all this but i still haven't be able to let go of these rules because it is hard to do even for some one that knows alot about the subject. But some minds are different than others so it might be easier for someone else.

Aha! That's where I got my method for using cold water to stabilize dreams. Interesting, I 'll have to see if I can pay a visit. Congrats on getting teleportation to work, by the way. I usually use the door method myself.

Ah, almost forgot: Here is the link you were looking for, Loki. I like the reference to Norse mythology in your username, by the way.

      Hehe....have you tried a TARDIS?

I also use the door method. It takes a little practice but it works best for me. If you dream of buildings, houses and urban settings, it's even easier. If not you will need to learn to visualize a door or a shack (or a TARDIS!), preferably visualizing it behind you, then turning around and expecting it to be there.

Find your door. Now imagine the place you want to go behind it. Visualize where you want to go. If you wish you can put a button on the door or command it to go to that place. Now open the door and rush through! Don't try to see the different place from where you're standing, just run through and expect it to be there.

Another thing you can try is asking a DC. For some bizarre reason, I have met DCs who have literally been able to snap their fingers and change the whole dream scene before my eyes. If not that, try asking them "Hey do you know how I can get to ___?"

Flying is another method. Fly up into the clouds and imagine that your new dream scene is just beyond the horizon below, then fly back down to it. (If you aren't good at flying yet you can also try a small plane).

I've successfully teleported on the first try by being very assertive about it. Here's my method:

      1. Think of where you wish to teleport to
      2. Now jump in the air while lifting your arms up
      3. As you come down, yell teleport and throw your arms back down

The way it works for me is when I throw my arms down, I feel a surge of energy, everything bursts white, and I'm in the place I imagined.

I like to think that the combined force of the body and mind will teleport me where I want to go. I find that this only works for teleporting to places that my mind is able to construct. It worked fine for teleporting to a friend's room, but not to the moon.

I open a door and expect the location to be on the other side. It's also easy to summon a mirror (turn around and expecting a mirror to be there) and then turn away, look back, and expect the desired location on the other side.

Sometimes however, I find that the mirror is really small and I have to crawl through. Make it large.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

When I teleported (years ago) I simply closed my eyes, thought of where I wanted to go, and when I opened them, I was there.

Hmm... Well, What I do is place intent on where I want to arrive. Close my eyes, and jump. When I land, I'm where I wanted to be.

Interested in this as well. I had a lucid that lasted an hour and a half. All i did the whole time was try to go somewhere. I tried doors...

I think i'll wake up if I close my eyes!

if you think you'll wake up you will. Trust me. If you can let go of that worry, you'll be able to close your eyes fine.

Never done this myself but there are a lot of techneques. Congratulations on finding one that works for you!

One method I have heard of is where you have a painting of the area you want to visit and step through the canvas.
