I agree, I think it deserves more than that.

Donnie Darko struck me as a bit shallow--somewhat interesting, but trying to appear a lot more meaningful than it really was, and a bit of a goth-boy sad-wank overall.

i think it doesnt matters of the rating 6/10 and crap
i know it was a coool movie thats why i found it interesting.

I liked that movie!!! shut up. I could relate to it alot. It was trippy and full of weird emotions.

I decided to watch all the dream related films, figured out I have real gaps in it.
Waking Life - so relaxing and calming. And The Science of Sleep - really liked it, not even because of relation to dreams, more of their weird relationships.
Both of them are grasping, catch and hold attention really well. I would watch each of them even if they were 5 hours long.

well that movie was cool but i rly didnt liked the thing with machine and shit thats totally fantasy fake..

Also just saw Source Code, and it was better than I expected. I can't agree with a lot of the subtext, and there was a lot of hand-waving about "quantum physics" to back up the premise, as well as gratuitous tugging of the heart strings, but the cast was good and the plot was reasonably engaging.

I just watched Black Swan again for the first time since I saw it in theaters, great movie.

Watched Narc last night. Its from 2002, and was a very good movie. It was kinda a good cop bad cop concept, but with an old undo narcotics cop. It was a pretty dark movie, defiantly recommend it.

count down to zero. 2010 doco about nuclear weapons (do doco's count has movies for the sake of this thread?)

twas very good but maybe harped on the acquisition by terrorists a bit much and not enough on state use. but comes recommended. torrent-able and watch-able free on web. some amazing stories of our miss-use, poor judgement and paranoia not to mention the amount that lay on the bottom of the ocean.

I concur, donny darco over rated.

taosuar, great to hear xmen is worthy, i rode it off just from the cinema poster. now just to find a rizzler in this god fearing town...

I watched Limitless on the plane (The whatever thingie they downloaded it off was scratchy!)

8/10 It was a pretty good movie, apart from the ending. It was too weak and didn't really make much sense.

La Confidential, very good story, loved it. And I didn't even realize Guy Pearce was Shelby in Memento

Watch it is so awesome comedy ganja film

Watched Inception for the 50th time.. I know, I know- very cliché but nothing beats it

Super: hilarious and fucked up. There are obvious parallels with Kick-Ass, but this movie took it in another direction. I wasn't thrilled with the very ending, but didn't think it took away from the movie as a whole, either.

Spoiler for ending:

The whole tidy, "these are the things I learned and I appreciated life just a little bit more" shtick seemed a bit at odds with the rest of the movie. Also, how would you sum up the message it sends? "Sometimes people who are unattractive or strange need to suffer or die so that beautiful people can make babies." If you look at it as more of the main character seeing everything in a fucked-up light but still getting along in the world (getting away with mass murder, in fact), it kind of works, but it was presented in more of a straight moral-of-the-story manner.

Limitless.

Watched source code. It was good. I was expecting something else, but I still liked it.

I liked it more than I expected to.

Couldn't stop myself from rewinding to see 2 or 3 moments a second time. Oddly enough, one was where Hatter snapped a Suit's neck.

Captain America: The First Avenger.

I enjoyed it; I'm glad that it wasn't as cheesy or boring as people were making it out to be. Some of the CG in the middle part was really blurry, but that's the only nitpicking I have...

Anyways, I'd give it a solid 8/10. If anyone's going to see it, be sure to stay after the credits end, too! It's the best after-movie treat ever.
