Thread: Whats your favorite anime/manga?

Finished up Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion this week, watching first season dubbed, second season subbed. It has a lot of goofy aspects just deriving from the high school characters, but definitely worth a watch.

Bleach and Gundam 00 are absolutely number 1 and will be forever unless I make my own anime.

Anime:
1. Naruto
2. Bleach
3. Fullmetal Alchemist
4. InuYasha

Can't remember all the anime I've seen, but I also liked:
Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Ghost in the Shell, 07-Ghost
Haven't seen more than a dozen episodes of Dragonball, but suspect it will take the fifth spot.

Manga:
1. Naruto
2. Bleach

I have seen only very, very little of Dragonball. But I'm wondering.
What exactly is the significance of the show, why is it so popular?

I don't know if American's are crazy over Dragonball so much as Dragonball Z. Just for the never ending cliffhangers and (sometimes) high velocity action. We tend to overlook how drawn out some parts of the series are. For example when Frieza attempts to blow up planet Namek. The dialog suggested the destruction would come about in five minutes. It took like ten or more episodes to actually happen.

All I remember of Dragonball Z is a one-armed green man rubbing his forehead for roughly twenty-five minutes against a solid-color background. They must have panhandled for upwards of an hour to raise the budget for that episode.

It seems to be a rather big deal in Germany, too, as far as I can tell.
But yea, Dragonball Z probably, I didn't know that there was a big difference.

I'm into Full Metal Alchemist : Brotherhood and it'S FUCKING AMAZING! It's like old FMA but x10 in awesomeness.

I heard about it like a week ago and I'm already waiting for the Ep 35 to come out lol.

Full metal brotherhood is awesome. I have been glued to it.
And slayer Fullmetal is based on the manga until about half way, then it takes a huge turn. Brotherhood is based completely on the manga. And personally I think Brotherhood is better. But they are both pretty tight.

I really like the TenchiMuyo/ in Tokyo. I really don't like Tenchi Universe as much, but it's good

What's the story behind the manga?

I've seen pretty much every episode of FMA. I saw Brotherhood on my Xbox. So just was is the story behind this one?

Well, it's almost the same, but it takes a huge turn and they interact alot more with the Homunculus and the Gate. The main plot is still the same, they try to find their body back.

And they also throw in a few new characters.

code geass kinda beats all anime's, darker than black is really good too.

my favorite anime would have to be gundam 00, im completely in love with it.

Favorite mangas are fma and gintama.

Does anyone know when fma is going to end?
