Wow, simply amazing. Next we're gonna be hearing of people flying by flapping their arms... I can dream can't I? |
|
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
~Leonardo Da Vinci
Makes sense, seeing as how lizards can do it. |

Indeed. The science is there. However, the lizard evolved to do that, the people had to learn it. And that's where I find most of the amazement from. |

Really interesting, though from what I can see, it's hard to sustain speed, since you hardly have any ground on the water. If you put strength into your steps, you will apply too much force and fall in. So basically, the limit is when you start losing speed. |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

This skill would be great for my Ninja training :3 |

Pretty sure it's fake. Apparently it's an attempt at viral marketing. |
|
The physics involved for a person to be able to do that are nonexistent. It's pretty much impossible for one of us to walk on water without the aid of large flat sheets under our feet. |
|
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Hah, somebody pointed out to me that it was proven to be fake.. I'm searching for a confirmation but can't find one though. |

Yeah, awesome, i tried this last night and did a few laps around my in ground pool.... lol NOT |

Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."
^ You mean 2:18 - 2:24. I saw it too. |

Needless to say how fake it is. It's a pretty good viral if you ask me. I'm sure a bunch of people are gonna be buying water resistant shoes and try running on water. Then there are people who question these things who won't get suckered into this. If you actually wanted to walk on water there is some special equipment that allows you to do so. It's pretty cool and REAL. |
|
yeah, i was off by a few seconds lol. |

Reminds me of Spinal Tap. Very well done. |

Hmmmm, I suppose I got a bit ahead of myself. Oh well, you live and you learn I suppose. I thought they were wearing the shoes just so their feet wouldn't get so wet! |

I remember that Chris Angel douche did this. I suspected clear poles under the water, and they just practice running and getting their feet exactly on them. They also screw up sometimes. Either that or the clear plastic sheet under the water someone mentioned. |
|
Skeptical too but I'm not saying it's untrue. There is always a group of people who dought and there is always a group who don't. The people who don't, prove things that we once thought was impossible. Not saying this is true but i'm not saying it's untrue either. Imagine what people thought of lucid dreaming awhile ago, "Controling your dreams? That's impossible." Now it has been proven possible by Stephen Laberge. I will keep an eye out and see where this goes. |
|
Reminds me of Shaolin Kung Fu powers. |
|
The thing with that is, dreaming (lucid or not) is a matter of psychology, whereas this sort of thing is a matter of physics. In other words, the way we perceive the universe vs. the way the universe physically operates. I'm pretty sure human beings A) have too little surface area on their feet and B) are incapable of running fast enough to achieve such a feat. |

Well, if it is fake, it's still a fun prank to play on people next time you take a vacation near some open water. |
