The whole battle system looks pretty neat too, and you can see your whole Pokemon in the back-sprite. Other than that, it's nothing new, and therefore probably very over hyped. I was hoping 5th gen. Would get a complete overhaul and a new storyline, but it doesn't look like it.

With all the new features, it has good reason to be hyped. Besides, how could they redo the storyline? There's not much they could do unless they added in the storylines from the Ranger, Rescue, and Explorer games and intertwined them. At least that's the only way I can think of them redoing it.

I have wanted them to make an actual 3-D pokemon rpg for the 64, GC (now the wii) ever since I got in to it. It annoys me to no end that they wont.

Or they could make a translator that turns DP/P/HG/SS/B/W games into 3-D if you plug it into the wii. Something along those lines.

I would like to see an official Pokemon MMORPG.

that too. I played the unofficial one for a while. but seeing as it was still the same graphics and game, just more of "you" running around, I couldnt get all the way in to it.

=O I didn't know there were new versions coming out! I have all the versions for the DS so far. Even though most/all have the same story line, I still enjoy playing. I will definitely buy Black and White when they come on in America in Spring of 2011.

I have two Pearl games and Heartgold for the DS.

The reason I have two is I used to own an Action Replay cartridge, and I'd constantly switch the two, in and out of my DS. The metal stuff on the back of the Pearl game got so scratched up that I had to get another one. -_-'

Even though most/all have the same story line, I still enjoy playing.

Here's hoping B/W will have a different storyline, not the "bad guys want to control legendary pokemon" deal again.

My friends and I talk about this all the time. I find our selfs talking about this for about an hour before we start talking about how we are not game developers and laugh it off. A pokemon MMORPG would be amazing.

I want a pokemon game where you can go into the game, like virtual reality.

I want a pokemon game where when you play as the trainer, but when the battle begins- you switch control over to the pokemon in a third person over the shoulder fighting game. AS long as the controls/concept works really well- smooth and unique and all that jazz. And when you press the buttons to use an attack, right before the animation plays you hear the trainer say it out. That way it will be like when you press the buttons, you are the trainer ordering the attack so the illusion is maintaned but you still have direct control. Mind you, I don't want all pokemon games to go in this direction. I like the style they have. But this should be done a couple of times to change things up. A pokemon action game could rock.

WTF?????? SERIOUSLY, another two games, why do they do this? They have to be running out of ideas, and IMO the games are good as they are. It is fine the way they are, after the remake of Gold and Silver I didn't think they could do much more.

There was (and still is) so much more. I'd imagine there are probably a few new evolutions of 1st, maybe 2nd ans 3rd gen. Pokemon. They added new designs altogether, like Shimama the zebra and Moguryu the mole. And that's just the Pokemon. By the looks of the videos and pictures already online, the whole way you play the game and game experience has changed, from the sprite design supposedly all the way down to what happens to your character based on the choices you make. I can say with reasonable certainty that these are probably the 2 most meticulously designed DS Pokemon games made so far.

Sorry if I seem defensive, I just can't see how anyone can think Pokemon doesn't need any more room for improvement or just some more shiny new features.

Around Spring 2011. Just enough time to inadvertently memorize the Japanese names only to get them mixed up with the English ones that come out. XD

Pokemon gen 5=for young girls.
Also 3x3 battling is gimmicky as hell.
You will never get your realistic 3-D, grimdark plot with actual monsters.

You have the exact same opinion as me. Exactly.
I still like old Pokémon (1 and 2).

The High Link stuff looks pretty cool. And I'm already liking a lot of the pokémon this gen, it took me a lot more to get used to gen 4 pokémon.
