I made up the whole thing. Nobody thinks the world is going to end in two days. It hasn't been an issue.

The rumor popped up thanks to a combination between Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus fanboys, schizophrenic christians obsessed with the book of daniel and revelation, and Terrence McKenna's weird experiment thingy with the I-Ching. It's nothing more than a misconception propagated by the same doomsayers that have been looking for an excuse to call for the end of the world for the last twenty centuries.

I agree with that. I was just making the point that there are people all over the place who think the world is going to end in two days.

A mayan elder said everybody will experience "spiritual bliss/heightened consciousness" around 21st during galactic alignment.

im hoping everybody experiences this higher vibrational energy on the 21st....everybody needs to experience this even if it is only for 8 minutes.

if no hit of spiritual/higher vibrational energy on that day then for sure its just a change of the age. The next age is going to be about the world experiencing more intuition, creativity, peace, new ideas, higher consciousness, etc.....we're already seeing this actually

Erm yes, I know that. But that was mostly a few years ago. So close to the date you would expect a lot more activity, but there is very little, in Off-Topic at least. My question is about the presence of this in the media and popular consciousness.

People are mostly using it for the jokes. I know some people who claim they know people who seriously believe the world is going to end. I um... am glad that I have only indirectly heard of these people.

One theory is that it will be the next step in human evolution. Not that I believe it though.

But it's a fun theory.



One thing should be noted and the NASA video mentioned that as well and that is that we don't have any idea of how the Mayan calendar could match up and have such a precise timing with so many things. I mean they didn't had the science we have today, so how did they accomplished that?

Okay, 9:00 p.m. I have also heard 11:11 a.m. I am not sure what time zone(s) they were referring to. When it is no longer 12/21 anywhere in the world, it will be time to really laugh.

11:11 UTC is the exact time of winter solstice. That's when the computer program we are part of ends and that's the end of the world. I guess it's 3am US pacific time.

Winter starts at 6:12 AM EST. Some schmuck on the radio said this apocalypse shindig starts at 6:11 AM EST. See you all at 6:13.
