If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Hopefully someone will take a few cans of whoop ass to those billboards. |

The funny part is that this isn't even an argument. Charles Manson and Osama bin Laden also breath air and eat food. Guess we are all terrible people. |

It's pretty disgusting to think people are still using WW1 status propaganda to spread utter bullshit. Hopefully this will have the opposite effect, and people will be so repulsed by this obvious manipulation that the climate change denier population will shrink even more. |

UGH I have the best link for this thread but I have one more day to wait before I can post links. |

You sometimes don't seem to understand the power of ideas. Perhaps its obvious to you but many people will be influenced by this. |

The problem with that is that the folks that are against climate change and evolution, DENY science and call it "Junk Science". |

^ Mhm, heard 'dat.
Don't you think equating scepticism of a scientific hypothesis to being a member of Conservapedia is rather extreme and disingenuous? The people on that site are all cognitive trainwrecks and will never accept the science on ideological grounds, but that's a fringe political group, not a group of scientists. Although pretty small (Wikipedia tells me around 3% of climate researchers and 10% of geoscientists), there are some intellectually honest and qualified people who aren't convinced about the extent to which human activity is causing climate change. Personally I don't know the math, but the basic figures seem realistic and there's a high degree of agreement, so I'm inclined to accept the hypothesis. But scepticism is a healthy and essential part of the scientific process, and the point at which people start calling sceptics 'deniers' and equating them to religious fascists as you have just done is the point at which we abandon rationalism and enter the dangerous world of dogmatism. |

There's a rather large difference between predicting the path of a chaotic mathematical model and the mountain of disparate pieces of simple and compelling evidence for evolution. |

Ostracism tactics are a red flag. Extreme pressure to believe something is usually a sign of room for reasonable skepticism. |

You are dreaming right now.
