Do you?" Apparently, they think they can sell the idea that recognizing human contributions to climate change is crazy and fringe. I'm just surprised they had the restraint to leave out Hitler.

The only relevant thing is the scientific evidence. The problem with that is that the folks that are against climate change and evolution, DENY science and call it "Junk Science". Yes, junk science - check out this link Junk science - Conservapedia But anyway - billboards are billboards. The forum of stupid people. The people on that site are all cognitive trainwrecks and will never accept the science on ideological grounds, but that's a fringe political group, not a group of scientists. Although pretty small (Wikipedia tells me around 3% of climate researchers and 10% of geoscientists), there are some intellectually honest and qualified people who aren't convinced about the extent to which human activity is causing climate change. Personally I don't know the math, but the basic figures seem realistic and there's a high degree of agreement, so I'm inclined to accept the hypothesis. But scepticism is a healthy and essential part of the scientific process, and the point at which people start calling sceptics 'deniers' and equating them to religious fascists as you have just done is the point at which we abandon rationalism and enter the dangerous world of dogmatism.

There's no reason to not call them deniers now. The evidence is solid enough to call it true. It's the same as evolution skeptics. They're not skeptics. Any actual skeptic has concluded that it is true by now.

There's a rather large difference between predicting the path of a chaotic mathematical model and the mountain of disparate pieces of simple and compelling evidence for evolution. Considering climate science isn't yet an advanced enough field to explain basic phenomena such as the much more dramatic climactic shifts called 'ice ages' (currently we just have a list of qualitative factors), there is clearly still room for scepticism about claims about models of the climate and future warming.
