      Scariest dream scenario for you?

What scenario makes you wake up in a pool of sweat and tears?

      For me it's this:

I'm desperately banging on the door of my apartment, calling my family to open (I live at the second floor), but getting no response. As I look down the stairs, something (be it zombies, a killer, ect.) is slowly walking up - coming to get me. To add insult to injury, one time i looked through the keyhole to see if anyone was inside, and there was an eye staring right back at me, which then blocked the keyhole. The monster usually gets very close before I wake up.

It can even be a dream you had only once, but made you shit yourself.

I have quite a strong phobia of the ocean, only ever had that fear played upon in a dream once as a kid. Still terrifying though, never forget it.

Me and my sister were playing on a climbing frame in a garden when suddenly it all began to flood, we stayed on top of the climbing frame to avoid the water. As the water rose, so did we and the climbing frame was suddenly floating in the middle of a black and violent stormy sea with all my belongings strewn about below me.

      No thanks.

I don't usually feel fear in dreams, regardless of what happens. However, I did have one many years ago that freaked me out.

I saw nothing but blackness and was laying on what felt like a cold stone slab. I could hear voices telling me all the reasons I would go to hell. Then whoever / whatever they were starting cutting me with some kind of blade. I could feel the blade enter the flesh of my legs, stopping when they hit bone, the skin parting and a rush of cold against exposed meat while the warm blood began spilling out as the blade moved down the length of my legs. I awoke before much else happened.

I tend to have scary dreams. But they are different. For example anytime I dream someone close to me is dying or has died I wake up immediately or in tears. The emotion I get from the dreams are so strong, I feel the pain. Other times I dream about scary things be it aliens, demons...one time I dreamt a baby, he was gray and I picked him up. As soon as I did, there were worms coming out from his head. Slowly the baby became all worms. It was really freaky. Another scary dream I recall is when I was at a store and something was happening like a robbery or something and I saw someone coming up the escalator. That person pulled out a gun and shot me, I felt the pain but I woke up. I am glad I did, I am always scared I will die in my dreams. I can usually feel pain when I wake up like when a dog bit me on my knee, I woke up and there was pain in my knee. I hate falling asleep.

      Being chased, worst feeling ever.
And my recurring dream the classic falling into a dark pit until you hit the ground and wake up all sweaty.

The most terrifying thing for me to dream of, is other people with psychic powers, since they seem to only appear in dreams where I have them, Like one time I was sleeping on our living room floor and I had a dream about some guy wearing a rabbit mask and he was standing in one of our bedrooms, and he slammed the door with telekinesis, and while I turned to run out the front door he teleported to the doorway, and then Screamed really high pitch. When things scream at me in my dreams it usually goes black and then the screams echo.... these are what scare me... oh anyways when I came to I was already standing up because of how quick I hopped up and my sister was staring at me laughing.

These all sound soo unpleasant, especially yours, ZeraCook.

Also, anyone get dreams with insects? I really really hate those ones, since it generally involves giant cockroaches or thousands of centipedes crawling on me. Ugh...

I used to be scared of snails, only in my dreams though. In real life their quite fascinating yet in my dreams they're horrible. I was in the penthouse of a New York skyscraper and all the door were locked. There is not a single person in the entire city except for me, snails and slugs of varying sizes are everywhere, some are the size football fields. Then they start to flood my room which has windows on all sides, they come through any crevices they can find, then I get engulfed by them. All of a sudden in one dream I conquered them and ruled the snails and never had a dream centered on snails ever again!!

The most scared I've ever been in a dream was one in which my boyfriend at the time was drowning in a giant glass 'room' surrounding a city. It was filling with water and there were only a couple hatches at the ceiling and I had to help him escape, but couldn't find him.

A month ago . I've dreamed that I was sinking in a huge pool of blood , while fleshy , hairy , stinking worms tried to cover my entire body . I was suffocating . Then I wake up.

Lol, yes... Spiders Although they're technically arachnids. Nothing disturbs me more than one falling on me in the night or something.

I rarely (if ever) feel scared by a dream as it's so easy to wake up, but I am sometimes quite disturbed by them. Anything involving being trapped in a small room or being trapped whilst something unpleasant comes into contact with me is pretty nasty. Being trapped in the bedroom of my old house with a corpse springs to mind but I quickly woke up after freaking out.

I hate the stress dreams, where I am trying to complete a very important task. In order to do so, I have to read something, or find something. The text keeps changing, or things keep moving around. It is frustration and panic, fear and desperation. I always wake up feeling terrible.

Well most of my dreams now are very vivid and not really scary. Even though I remember some 'scary' dreams from my childhood. For an example there was this one dream that I dreamt more than one time. I am near a huge shopping center and there are lots of people. I notice that I lost my mom and then comes to me this guy with the tiny body and huge head. he wears a red T-shit and a black pair of trousers , his head is enormous (almost ten times more than his body) and it's colors are black and white (it reminded me my lamp for some reason). It opens it's huge red eyes and big red mouth and asks me "Do you want me to eat you!?". I answer "No...". Then he grabs me and I slide down his tongue to his throat. On the second time I had this dream I tried to be clever and said "Yes" instead of "No..." ,but this bastard still ate me...

Conclusion: Never trust the guy with the enormous head because he will probably eat you!!!

Am I the only person who is not scared of anything in their dreams? I never have nightmares, and if anything is scary normally I realize it's a dream since my everyday life is plain and boring with nothing scary

So true. It's so nerve-wracking. I remember being chased in the subway by a huge, burly man with a knife and it was very unpleasant cause there's only so many places to hide in a moving subway train. Wow that reminds me. I've had a lot of dreams about being chased. ( That can't be a good sign though...) Like this other time where I was inside an old, but very huge house being chased by some creature without a face. There were so many doors and traps so it was hard to figure out which direction to go but I dreamt this dream so many times that I already knew the path and which doors to avoid and go through so I could escape. But I have to admit, it's kinda fun waking up with the sudden adrenaline rush of my heart pumping from being so scared.

      That’s really horrible dream.

I have a phobia of lizards. Once I dreamt that I had been surrounded by lizards from all around.

Darkness... I have a lot of dreams set in this dark atmosphere with this dark purple-blue haze hanging every where, here and there a vague shitty light or freaky random crazy talk babling people. Makes me feel completely lost.

Then I have to get in some house or basement, tomb, ancient ruins, abondomed secret cult bases (cult bases and tombs are the scariest) and while in there I hear all kinds of things, whispers/talking in weird languages - movement - growling - moaning - scary laughing etc and see all kinds of shadows crawling every where. Freaking fuck...

But because I'm scared I will get this fight or flight response and start provoking and run at everything that moves trying to fight whatever it is. They rarely come out BUT if I'm already too far in and choose to flight instead of fight all these scary things will come rushing at me, mocking me and having this scary laughter. YES it's SO scary but weird enough I love it! Every now and than, that is.
