My dreams are always realistic, but there are often things from video games and movies thrown in. It usually depends on things I've recently watched, but, occasionally, things I've forgotten exist show up (such as Just Cause 3 and inFamous: Second Son elements). |

one dream i had, was back around 2011, 2012, or 2013. |

Years ago I had many Minecraft themed dreams though the dreamworld's environment was always more realistic and in recent years I've had dreams based on other voxel games. I have had World of Warcraft dreams for a long time, even when I haven't played the game at all for months, but years ago at first, these dreams would have fit better into the game world logic than they do now, now they're looser and tell their own stories much more. |

Singled out from some of my favourite quotes from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri: "Risks of [Planet] flowering: considerable. But rewards of godhood: who can measure? - Usurper Judaa'Maar: Courage: to question."
Yep! It was insane. I prefer social interaction now (bonus: it's healthier). |

And just as I said I don't have such dreams, I have had a dream which included segments of both Terraria-esque and Minecraft-ish scenes. |

Back when I was a video game addict playing 8-14 hours a day, many dreams were inside video game worlds. I don't play video games very often anymore, but I still have occasional dreams of Diablo 2 or WoW. Sometimes Minecraft if I've secretly binged recently. |

It's strange because I have been in a cartoon in a hallucinogenic trip (I was seeing the world as a 2D cartoon) but I also don't recall dreaming about a cartoon as most of you. I only remember dreaming in animated graphics if it's a game and even then, the graphics seem better than the original game. Because I didn't own a console as a kid, my game dreams were mostly me getting to play a game at a cousin's house. In these dreams, there were specific games I got to play that don't exist in reality. In the dream as in reality, I always kind of wished I got to play more of it. As a kid, the only action game I owned was the classic Tomb Raider games and so I had lots of dreams about those. Interestingly, I never dreamed about the actual levels. But there were recurrent levels. One in particular was in an Egyptian tomb and every time I dreamed, I got either stuck at the same spot or got a bit further, but every time, I remembered playing the game from a previous dream. In that way, these dream levels are as vivid in my memory as the actual game's levels. Another such level was like an underwater maze with sharks inside a tower with winged enemies guarding a gated bridge. I also had car game dreams influenced by Midtown Madness, in more complex cities than in the original game. There's also Super Mario levels in 3D. I used to revisit a "choose your level" 3D area which felt very familiar. Oh yes, like the Super Mario Nintendo 64, where I would jump through paintings to get to other levels and gain keys to access other parts of the castle. Other than those three 3D games, I've mostly have had dreams about 2D platformers, with all sorts of strange enemies and parkour challenges. Waking up, I always felt disheartened that they weren't real games and I couldn't continue, but now I guess I ought to appreciate the creativity and the graphics of some of those dreams. Like some of you mentioned, it's always been unlikely that I become lucid as I have those dreams, but something that was particularly consistent about these dreams is the sense of familiarity, remembering having dreamed/played this before. |

Some of my cartoon dreams are like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", "The Mask" or even Space Jam. I remember being Sonic the Hedgehog but, I kept getting stuck. :/ |
