Surreal dreams (enhanced vision, senses etc)

I had quite the lucid last night, in which I had what I can only describe as surreal vision.
Seeing with a "higher resolution" in dreams then with my real eyes is something that happened to me before, but this time it was quite different.
In my dream, I somehow realized that everything I saw was not information provided by my eyes, but rather an image made up by my mind.
So why would it have to follow the limitations of the human eye?

This thought changed everything, I was suddenly able to see past the spectrum of visible light, and the contrast was absolutely insane.
In the end I was even able to see colors that I have never seen in real life, and didn't know existed.

If you're interested, I transcribed that dream into my DV Dream Journal:
Surreal vision and seeing a new color.

So, I was wondering what surreal experiences everyone else had?
What did you see / feel?
How was it "more real" then real life?
Do you maybe have a trick to acquire enhanced senses in your dreams?

      Cheers,
      Hyu
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

      Oh, thats cool!
I don't know about more real than real life, but has used touch to make a picture of my surroundings, hearing for ecolocation, taste to "see" everything around and smell to figure out where stuff is, how deep and that kind of thing, I call it super senses, all of them were crazy experiences, and really fun. Also, what I used was stealing the senses from the animals I know already have them.

Wo I've always wanted to see a different color in a dream but havn't tried to yet. I havn't had any sureal feelings like that so far but I will. When I replace my dream body with a cyborg body it will have lots of different sense a normal human wouldn't.

This is very interesting. I would have never thought of anything like echolocation or other animal senses, let alone transforming into a cyborg.
I wonder if I'll be able to do something like that.
My lucids tend to be rather short, so usually I don't have the time to try anything as advanced. (that is, if I even think of it)
Then again, I'm still quite inexperienced, hopefully it'll get better in time
