How many hours do you sleep and how often do you have a LD?

I am curious as to how much sleep is best for lucid dreaming, sometimes I think I might be sleeping too much.

I get an average of 12 hours sleep a night and get 1 or 2 LDs a week.

O.o thats a lot of sleep!
For me it depends on whether I have school or not, if I have school my sleep might range from 3 to 6 hours of sleep, and my LD count ranges from 1-3/day, when I'm not in school, sleep from 8-10 hours and can range from 6-12 lucids/night, depends a lot on how much I wake up during the night.

It really depends for me. If it is a school night then I get 6 to 8 hours depending on how fast I can fall asleep. On weekends and during vacatios (like the one that starts tomarow!!!) I can get like 12 hours of sleep and have many more lucids and remember many many more dreams. On the sundays I go to church though I get 8 or 9 hours which is still many times better for dreamig than 7. I will just put an average of 8 to 9.

I try to get at least eight hours of sleep a night, I've been averaging around nine lately. I haven't had a lucid in a couple days so I would say one-two a week.

Usually nine hours of sleep, sometimes more. My average is three or four lucids per week, but this week's crappy amount doesn't count because I had exams.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

From what I've heard, too much sleep (the amount's different from person to person) is just as bad as not getting enough sleep. That's all I know, though.

I used to sleep a lot a lot, but have found recently that the best time for me is 7.5 hrs.. wake up after 6 and do a WBTB for one more cycle, or wake up and take an hour and a half nap, best success rates with lucids so far. Sleeping longer than that I find that if I haven't had a lucid already I probably won't or if I want to improve the mood/ theme/clarity of my dreams it's usually unsuccessful after that point.. unless I utilize sleep deprivation and get 6 hrs several nights in a row and then get 9-12 then it's super dreamland.

During the week I get 6 hours a night (which is enough for me) because I have to get up early but just can't bring myself to going to bed before midnight:p During the weekends it's usually a bit more, up to 8 hours, sometimes 9... Seems to be enough time for plenty of dream activity though.

More sleep = more REM = more lucids.
