How about actually being in the game? How about mobility that's not limited to the gaming framework? How about being able to change and/or control nearly any aspect. Do nearly anything? How about an experience that is so much closer to waking life than any game could ever hope to accomplish, with an infinite amount of disk space?
I do play video games, and my personal experience is that they aren't as intense, immersive, or liberating as lucid dreams. Of all the points you tried to argue with (rather arrogantly, I might add) this one is pretty ridiculous - especially since it's a matter of personal opinion.

If you say so. Personally, I believe that's a crock. I've fought King Kong in a dream. Are you saying that he's some "part of myself" that I should try to understand? He is a fictional character which made his way into my dreams (because I'm a huge fan of movies and movie characters like that), and were I not lucid, I would have probably spent the dreaming running around for my life, instead of taking a stand. On what authority do you profess to tell me what I should be doing with my dream characters? Sure, I believe that there are some characters that I can learn a lot from by analyzing them. But which ones I decide to take that approach with, like much else, is a matter of personal opinion and/or musing.

Of course I could just "delete" them. To me, though, that is rather boring. It's not a matter of "needing" to fight them. (I thought you would have figured that out.) It is a matter of 'wanting' to fight them. It is entertainment. It is a sense of adventure. When I'm in such a scenario, I don't try to impose my will on them. That takes the fun out of it. My challenging DC's often leave me feeling more fulfilled than the ones I can just walk all over. You're telling me basics of dream content as if I'm not already aware of them. The difference is that I choose to approach them differently. It is a matter of personal preference.

1) I don't believe I said it did.
2) That is your own personal opinion.
3) As far as I'm concerned, it depends on the scene. If I'm dreaming that I'm in a tomb or cavern, or some other archetypal video game-like setting, I'm going to expect for there to be monsters and demons and whatnot within. And if I'm lucid, I'm going to relish the chance to do battle with them.

The reason is valid because - in case you missed it - the reason has to do with my own perspective. You can't even begin to tell me why I, personally, enjoy sparring in real life, so you can't begin to dictate what reason I have to enjoy sparring in my dreams, for it to be valid. Also, if you've done any of your homework, you would know that lucid dreaming is a great arena to practice waking life skills, even physical ones.

1) Bragging? Who is bragging? Do you mean because I said there are a lot of things in my dreams that are trying to kill me? Or because I like to use superpowers? In either case, please clarify (or, even better: quote) exactly where I was "bragging," in this thread.
2) There is a difference between consciously creating a story and subconsciously creating a story. I'm going to give you the benefit of doubting that I actually have to explain it to you.

Are you on drugs? Many of the people of the site use superpowers. Many of them are better than it than I am. So my "bragging" about superpowers, as if they were out of the ordinary, would be stupid. I was simply answering a question, stating that I enjoy using such powers in combat. Again, please quote where I'm bragging. As far as killing an evil DC that "I created," I'll direct you back to response #2, above.
Also, do you have something personal against me, that you would like to get off your chest? Or are you simply trolling? I find it hard to believe that you made such an asinine post with sincerity. The way you responded to this thread reeks of someone trying to pick a fight, and if I'm wrong, then I will apologize, and advise that you be a little less dick-ish in your response. But, if I'm right, then by all means, don't keep me in the dark. I'm just dying to know what your deal is.
