Can you affect how you feel pain in an LD?

A few people have told me that Lucid Dreams can't hurt you, however in my first lucid dream I fell down the stairs and I felt it, unfortunately I have a weird perception with pain, as I don't feel it at all most of the time or my body goes numb to prevent me feeling the pain, I don't feel pain anymore because of this, so I'm not entirely sure if what I felt was pain, as I don't know what it feels like anymore.

However I was wondering if it was actually possible to LD that you were shot and either feel pain or make it feel like something else completely?

I understand that it seems weird to want you dreams to be able to hurt you, but it's been too long since I've felt pain, and it'd be a weird experience for me.

Also how cool would it be to get stabbed in a dream and feel like someone had just poked you with icecream?

Whoa, not feeling pain can be pretty dangerous! I've heard of people breaking bones and chewing through their tongues withour realising it! Please be careful.

And I'm not sure if you can make yourself feel pain. I have felt pain in my dreams, but it's more like the memory of pain and it's dull and easy to deal with and ignore. I got slashed in the face once and felt the blood dripping down my face and into my eyes, and it throbbed a little but once I moved onto something else I just forgot about it.

I agree with the above, about not feeling pain being a dangerous ability.

As far as lucid dreaming goes, though, I can sometimes lessen the amount of pain I feel. If I know that something is going to hurt, I can usually "brace" for it, if lucid, and it hurts less. For instance, sometimes a DC will make a move to shoot me, and I'll just walk into the bullet, knowing that it won't harm me. It will just feel like someone threw a small rock at my chest.

I usually still feel sensation when I experience pain in LD, but it's not like pain. Usaully it's just tingly. I do however feel pain sometimes when I;m stuck in SP.

When I got shot in one of my dreams I was so aware that I was dreaming that I slowed the bullet down and watched it go through without feeling anything, then laughed in the face of the guy who shot me. That was probably the most aware I'd ever been that I was dreaming and what that meant. I feel like you could control the sensation and make it into something else if you were good enough with LDing, sadly I;m not these days.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

Although it's freeing, not being able to feel pain, it is dangerous
I've had more than one occasion where I've nearly bled to death due to not feeling it, but if I can't train myself to feel pain using lucid dreams then I'll have to live with it

I suppose it's one of those curses disguised as a gift, a lot of people would do anything to not feel pain.
It's fun to be able to break bones and not feel a thing, I miss feeling pain, I used to enjoy feeling pain, when I could, because it reminded me just how alive I was and that I was lucky to be alive

Actually, you can train yourself to feel pain using LD, I'm one of those weird people who thinks that, to make things worthwhile, it must have both the positive and the negative sides, so I made some rules for my dreams, pain is common in them, though I don't know how you would go about making pain more real, if you dont' even remember how real pain feels.

Yes. Dreams can hurt you, just not injure you. I've been smacked in dreams and it hurt a little. And yes, you can make it feel like something else if you expect it to.

Not cool at all. That sounds like it would be too cold. And I'd rather eat the ice cream, not have it all over my shirt.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Likewise, you cant teach some one who looks for facts to have faith in the absence of facts.

Yeah if you dont want to feel pain you don't have to. I normally do want to.

It gets me into the dream more.

Pain seems like a good way to stabilise your dreams too, if used with things like rubbing your hands and observing details
