Are there different levels of conscious?

Last night I became lucid for the first time. I knew it was a dream. I did a RC, I was excited, and I knew what I wanted to do in the dream. But I felt as if I were not fully aware. On a scale of 1 through 10, 10 being waking world. I would rate my experience as a 5 or so.
My dream did not last very long but it sure was an experience.
I was wondering if my level of awareness will increase with practice.
Or will a perfect lucid dream still not feel as waking life.

      Any help will be appreciated.
      Thanks

Yeah lucid dreams have different levels of vividness.

But we can make our dreams more vivid.

That depends, if you are going to label, then go by that. But yeah, LD can feel as real as waking life, some say it can feel even more real, but I don't know about that.
They also get better with time, so yeah.

How conscious are you in the waking world though? Many live their lives not that conscious, in my opinion. But a member here has defined levels from his own experiences. Some lucids are just more conscious then others. Some are more real than waking life, while others may be hazy. I think it mostly depends on how much sleep you get, and the nutrients you have.

      Here's the link.

Hey thanks for the responses guys.
Nice write up Dakotahnok, I need to keep some of those techniques in mind.
Its funny because last night in my dream I thought if I closed my eyes and imagined what I wanted it would appear. That is on your not to do list and I remember closing my eyes in my dream and then it ended lol.

There are varying amounts of control and awareness, and that can depend on several things, such as how tired you how, how experienced you are...

rather than closing your eyes, try imagining that the scene will change when you walk round a corner or open a door etc

There are degrees of lucidity, yes. It just depends. I have had very clear conscious ones and very blurry hazy conscious ones as well.
