Doing math in a lucid dream

Has anyone tried this? Trying to solve a simple equation, or perhaps simply adding or subtracting.

      Success or fail?

I have tried this several times.
      Success AND fail.
It seems that sometimes that part of my brain was active, and sometimes it was not. Those times that it wasn't successful it was pretty trippy, because I felt like I was coming up with the solution, but then I suddenly realized that I didn't remember the original problem I was working on, and that the batman symbol couldn't possibly be the answer to a math calculation.
      Fascinating.

I have performed some simple algebra equations in lucid dreams before and as far as I know, I was completely successful. I say this because, even in a lucid dream, our logic and judgment can be altered without us even realizing.

I once managed 4 factorial... I frequently see equations in dreams though, even disproving one in the same dream I later became Lucid in. Pretty sure there is a connection there.

I will see equations, but while I am dreaming im not able to solve them, I don't know how to for some reason.

You're barely capable of logic during a lucid dream so I suppose doing math in there is very hard.

I agree. I never tried it myself, as there are more fun things to do, but I wanted to see if anyone had success doing it.

I remember writing a multiplication of two digit numbers (54 and 63 or something) in the dust on a window. I came up with an answer eventually but have no idea if it was right as I didn't remember the numbers upon waking.

Yeah, it is definitely possible. Though, I have had ideas or figured out something complex in lucid dreams and thought to myself, "Man, that is genius." I then wake up and am like, "I am retarded."

Never really understood why it is hard, I often study in dreams, that includes maths and it is easy to do. Then again I have an habit of not using calculators for most operations in waking, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I am Statistics student. I could remember concept of GLRT (Generalized Likelihood Ratio Test) in one of my dream and also I can do mathematics in my dreams when I try....

I can also do, even to multiple numbers (like 12*14), and got two facts from it.
      1. It makes the dream more vivid, and probably more stable.
      2. I can count faster while dreaming than while being drunk.

I tried it in my very frist lucid dream, I did 3*9=27, 7*7=49, 6*6=36 correctly! also i found out that math operations for reality check is useless (at least for me!).
I gonna try whether I can solve an integral or not next time I become lucid.

I can do maths problems easy in a lucid dream if I try, I have very little trouble thinking as clearly as I do in real life. Finding a derivative might be harder since it requires more focus, I'm sure it would still be possible.

Tried, had both success and fail.
      Success in simple math
Fail in advanced math, but i am not good in math. In my dream i start solving some crazy formulas and i solved them but i could not comprehend any of them.

      Success
A few months ago I did a whole worksheet for my math class in a dream. All of the answers I remembered were correct, but I didn't remember all of them.
