      asking your DC's questions

Since your DC's are really just a projection of your mind, could asking them questions about your waking life yield any significant responses? For instance, lately when I've been smoking weed, I get anxious instead of high. I know the anxiety comes from within my mind, I just can't pinpoint it. So if I asked a DC, hey, why do I get anxious after smoking, maybe my subconscious will come out in the DC's answer.

And I don't want to hear opinions about weed, good or bad, its a personal choice, dont hate.

I haven't asked them deep questions like that, but i've asked them things about themselves, here is one DC I did, the lines down the bottom are more important

      Name: Sharla Kanzaki
      School: New Greyla High
      Job: Lab Intern

I also asked her to sing her favourite song, she sung Crushcrushcrush by Parapore, perfect to the lyrics, which I don't know off by heart.

That part is no big deal, but that might clue in that they can sort of represent your subconscious, since I didn't know the lyrics consciously.

DCs tend to have access to information deep in your head. Things you know, but you don't know you know. (i.e. the subconscious)

But in a lucid dream, they are also controlled by your conscious thoughts. So information taken from them might be somewhat distorted, because you'll be mixing the truth with what you consciously think is the truth.
At least there's a chance of that happening. If you have good control over your thoughts, it would help. And also if luck is on your side.

This is an interesting idea, and it sounds logical, but may I just ask, how do you know this?

weed, can and often does cause anxiety(not saying you should or shouldnt smoke weed). i use to smoke, not anymore. but yeah many of my friends have had to stop because the anxiety got to the point where they couldnt leave their houses...can also lead to skitsophrenia(yeaah i cannot spell that at all)

just something to think about :/

I also thikn that would be a good question to ask a DC, see what wacky thing they respond with..my dcs always tell me the stupidest shit!! haha. good for a LOL

I've asked DCs things before, not necessarily about my own waking life, and gotten normal responses (most of the time). I don't see why it wouldn't work, since DCs are basically projections of your subconscious. Perhaps your Dream Guide would be a better subject, though.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

It can only bring out schizophrenia in people who are predisposed to it. And those people would have developed the disease whether or not they smoked cannabis. but lets not turn this into a debate. just something to think about.

Aren't dream guides just a projection of your subconscious as well?

The term "Dream Guide" distinguishes "normal" DCs from what some may call "more sentient and knowledgeable, possibly knowing more than the dreamer" DCs.
