Dream characters trying to stop lucidity

I had a dream this morning where I was talking to my dad in the kitchen. I had a strong urge to do a reality check, so I did the nose plug. When I started doing it dad started yelling at me and said "your not dreaming, stop!" As if he resented the idea of me taking the blind fold off of my eyes. So have any of you guys had dreams where DCs try to convince you your not dreaming when they see you doing a reality check? If so please post the dream.

I haven't personally, but "reluctant" DCs shouldn't be able to actually stop your lucidity if you're aware enough to maintain that state of mind. Regardless, I'd get away from them as soon as I could, just in case.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I don't think a DC could influence me, only make me mad. It was annoying to have a DC yell at me.

Yeah, it can be very annoying.

In one of my lucids, I was walking down a sidewalk, and a DC - my teacher, actually - told me that I wasn't dreaming, and to get back to class. I almost lost my lucidity because she started to frustrate me. Essentially, I told her to stop being delusional. Sometimes DCs don't act the way you want, but every once in a while that's just the way dreams happen to go. I found the experience rather hilarious once I woke up.

I hope the frost giant doesn't try to con me outa lucidity. I often argue with DCs in non lucids as if they know I could possibly get lucid.

Yeah, they always become sarcastic when I wonder if I'm dreaming.

It happened several times to me. After I become lucid they tell me I am not dreaming.

Lol dream characters seem to be parts of our mind that question lucidity. Next time it happens ill talk to the DC and try to understand what part of me it is that doesn't understand.
