Thread: How many of you have friends in real life you can discuss LD'ing with?

I envy you people with even atleast one person you can talk too. It feels as if i had someone to talk to, then it would motivate me to try even harder. Especially two new people can have a competition. "I had more dreams than you!" or "I was lucid first!!!". For those who mention it, it seems like you stop talking to that person. Maybe i'm misinterpreting these posts, but it seems that way. Well, i just dropped the subject. I'm going to convert one of my close friends though. I believe he would be interested. He plays a lot of video games, so i'll be like "It's like your own sandbox in your head!!!"

Hm, this to me is good and bad, depending on how good your friends are. When I told one of my friends he had one within a week of barely trying. I was really demotivated because of that as it took me 4 months to have one that was shorter than his. But now he isn't really trying and I have had a few more since then so it's okay.

Lucid dreaming shouldn't be a contest, but more of a group activity at most.

True. I see now how demotivating it would be to tell my friend to try it, and then he tells me he got one the next day. I then realize i've been trying for more than a month... That would suck.
