      Realize you're dreaming then...

Have someone in your dream tell you that you're awake. Has anyone had this happen before? I almost had realized I was dreaming, until my friends convinced me that I was awake ahaha

Yes happens all the time, I just ignore them. My dad always yells at me when he sees me going about my lucid buisness. Last night tho my dad was nice to me and gave me lucid tips.

I've had a few DCs (all of them being family or friends) do that to me!

Only once did they actually say "you're awake" though; other times they just acted as they would in real life, and say things like "stop messing around". I just threaten them with lucid powers or ignore them.

      It's certainly not uncommon.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yes, this is actually a common thing that people experience. They become lucid and their dream characters try to convince them they are not dreaming and are awake. It is rather strange

Lol, in my dream it was the complete opposite but still annoying.
Everyone in my lucid just annoyed me: "Having fun being lucid?" and stuff like that.
      I just flew away.

Actually, I had something totally opposite happen once. One time I was in a dream where I was in a big warehouse/department store place and a bunch of people I knew from high school but never really talked to much were all walking around. I thought it was really odd but I couldn't figure out what was going on, on my own I probably would've just shrugged and kept on browsing, but then one of the DCs walked up to me and said "Hey, have you noticed how many old people from high school are here?" and I was like "Yeah, it is odd." and she replied "I think this may be a dream...." After that I looked around and I was like oh snap, it is! Unfortunately after that it started to fade away. I grabbed the shoulder of the guy next to me to keep me in it and he freaked out and started yelling at me to let go, and he finally broke free and got away but I had successfully stabilized the dream world... and then my phone started ringing and I woke up. *sigh*

don't think any of my DCs have ever mentioned dreaming (or being awake) most of them just want to fight me when I'm lucid...

"I see an old lady looking at me. She's dressed grey, and looks a bit ill. For a few seconds, we just stare at each other. (...) I once again look trough my window to the old lady. (...) She makes a gesture and I feel a voice in my head "You're coming?" My mental answer is "Come where?". As she begins to walk I feel a bit frustrated and look at my hands. (...) decide to leave the area and go somewhere else, like getting breakfast, but I suddenly feel a voice yelling inside me "This is a dream, I will not be fooled, look at your hands!"

This dream character actually granted me a huge breakthrough in my lucid dreams: for the anxiety of catching her up and ask her what was going on in that dream, I finally learned how to get out of my house. Never had done it before. But my DC's act normally when I'm lucid, I have yet to tell them they are a product of my imagination xD

I haven't had that specifically happen but when I am lucid and tell the DCs they're in a dream, usually they're like "Yeah whatever".....well maybe a few times they've said i wasn't dreaming...

I remember years ago, before I knew about lucid dreaming, I would ask DCs if I was dreaming.
I remember one dream where I was jumping across buildings floating in space with about 20 other people and I asked one of them if I was dreaming.
      "No. You aren't."
      Liar, liar.
      Me, "Why are you crying?"
DC, "People won't be my friend because I'm ugly."
Me, "Well I will be your friend... I guess."
DC, "Ewww no! Your ugly too."
