What was your most unusual lucid dream???

Hi everybody! My names Nick. I'm 22 years old, and a spiritualist. I live in Michigan, and I'm new here, and new to lucid dreaming. I just had my very first prolonged, and manipulative lucid dream six nights ago. While I had had two lucid dreams (Realized I was dreaming) before, this last one was the first "real" one.

I'm VERY excited to start lucid dreaming, as my VERY FIRST attempt to create one worked, and worked VERY well. It lasted, real time, about an hour, dream time, about 3-5 hours. It was AMAZING! I did everything I could possibly imagine (some things naughty).

In my very first attempt, not only did it last longer than I ever expected, but I was actually able to do/create ANYTHING. I was surprised by this, as the book that made me try lucid dreaming (Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self) said that this is VERY unusual.

Anyways, as the thread title entails, I just want some inspiration, if you will, on what exactly lucid dreaming is capable of. So please, tell me your strangest lucid dreams.

My first one that I had (six nights ago) was already rather strange. Two things very unexpected happened... When I was doing "naughty" things, suddenly a mob of Christians came and attacked the house the dream took place in. I wasn't expecting the unexpected... then, to make things even stranger, towards the end of the lucid dream, a dream character witnessed me moving things with my mind, and asked me, "Am I dreaming?" I thought that too was very odd.

Well, time to go to sleep... hopefully I'll have yet another lucid dream. This time, instead of just seeking pleasure, I'm going to start doing experiments to better understand consciousness it's-self, which is my ultimate goal. On my very next lucid dream, I plan on talking to a dream figure about dreaming... then, I will do what I view as the holy grail of lucid dreaming... I plan on trying to summon God in my dream. I have many questions, and real God or not, I expect some good answers... Well see how that goes.

Let me know your strangest lucid dreams! Can't wait to read them later on!

I used a variation of the hands technique. I stared at my hands while saying, "When I'm dreaming, I will see my hands, and remember that I'm dreaming." I did this about 50 times... then as I was trying to sleep, I would repeat the sentence in my head, all the while, I would maintain focus on the visuals you get when your eyes are closed (however minute). Both these things put together worked GREAT! I don't even remember the dream before I was lucid (if there even was one), I simply just recall inserting into the dream, staring at my hands, and completely lucid (it's like it's real life!). Then while I was lucid, every once in a while I would start to lose lucidity. I would simply try and count my fingers, and when suddenly one extra one would pop up, it would remind me that I'm dreaming.

The strangest lucid I have had was quite funny really

I was sitting in the passenger seat of a car - being driven along after trying to make an escape from something at the beginning of the dream. All of a sudden there is a fleet of cop cars surrounding us infront of this massive building. I look out the window and there's an older man, probably 50-60 and wearing a police uniform. He shouts through a megaphone "You there! You're dreaming! Welcome to that Stupidly Long Lucid You've Been Waiting For!"

I get out of the car and walk over to him and he points me to the door of the big building. Glowing on the glass in neon colours is 'That Stupidly Long Lucid You've Been Waiting For!' I'm confused and excited and walk into the building - could this actually finally be a really long lucid dream? Inside is a futuristic bar, covered in neon lights and glowing seats with all sorts of funky 70's style shapes and colours.

Then I wake up. That bastard tricked me!

My very last one, before all my nightmares have started (I've been having nightmares every dream I have now, if I remember them at all that is..) is of me in a room, trying to turn on this switch in the center of the room. It was like I was walking in sand - I was so slow. When I finally did turn on the light i was completely lucid. I could do anything but get out of the room. Once I finally did manage to get out of the room I just woke up.

I'd say my weirdest one was probably the one where I flew a giant slinky. I summoned a slinky out of my pocket and then expanded it to the size of a house. I then got on top of the slinky and started flying it high into the air. Then I got bored with that and decided to jump off of it. I fell 1000 feet and hit the ground hard. I got right back up after that and joked about how much that hurt for something that wasn't real.

You sound like you are ready to conjure up a dream guide despite only having a few lucids.

Actually there is a lot of confusion around the term "Dream Guide". When I say it, I just mean a regular (though reoccurring) DC that (because of your expectation) appears all-knowing/wise/powerful. Basically, it's a DC with a direct line to your SC so when you speak to them you get truths/a way of thinking/insight that you didn't realize you had. This is kind of like your God goal.

I actually already have a dream guide. I think. I stumbled upon him in the lucid dream before this last one. I had just became lucid, and was trying to do different things, and I could do nothing at all... I was simply lucid. Then I said, "I want to be in the city," and suddenly I was in this made up one... Kind of reminded me of Ann Arbor. Real nice, and quiet. There were small shops on the sides of the streets, and as I was walking by one, an old short bearded man wearing a sort of magicians robe opened the door to his, rather mysterious looking shop. He said, "Psst... come with me," I followed him into his shop, not sure what to expect, and as I reached the top of these stairs to his apartment above the shop, suddenly he began to move things with his mind. The way he was looking at me, it was as if he expected me to do the same thing. Suddenly I got this, sort of like, sixth sense, telling me to now try to move things... so I did. And I succeeded. Then the man began to conjure up things... and I got that same sixth sense thing telling me to do the same... so I did. And succeeded. Then he began to levitate... same thing. I succeeded. He then stopped doing "magic" and set down on the ground. He looked at me, very seriously, and said, "You're ready." He then preceded to open this door, that ended up being a very long hallway, with opened doorways to different rooms. In each room, was a temptation. Drugs... money... food... power... fame... scenery... and of course, sex. I made it all the way through the hallway without giving in to temptation, and the old man then opened the door at the end of the hallway. It was a white void. The old man didn't even say something, he just signaled me to go into the void... and I did. I was then trapped in the void for a long time (30 minutes or so). I was yet again unable to do anything... I simply floated around, thinking of what this could mean. After a while, I started to fade away, and eventually woke up. I swear I was levitating when I woke up, as it felt as though I had just landed on the ground... with a big kick, and everything. I thought for a brief moment about how strange the dream was, and realized I needed to pee. So I tried to stand up, and I failed miserably. It was as if my body wasn't in sync just yet, or something. I was also a little dazed and confused by all of this. Eventually, after a minute or two of failed attempts to get up, I finally managed to, and I walked as if I was drunk to the bathroom. I peed, and went back to bed, and that was that. I have a very strong feeling that the old man is my dream guide, and I plan on summoning him in my next lucid dream. I have a good feeling I'll be seeing him again, even if I cannot manage to summon him. He is my teacher of dreams in sorts as well, it would seem. Strangely enough, it almost seemed as if I knew him somehow, right from the very beginning... that's why I trusted him to go into the shop, then into the hallway, and eventually the void. What a strange dream. When I do see him again, not only will I talk about MANY things conscious related, and dream related, I'm going to ask him to show up in other dreams, to remind me that I'm dreaming. I'd be SWEET if it works. You think this is my dream guide? Have you ever had something similar happen?

I had one once where I tried to use my lucid "powers" to fight a big thug who wanted to fight me. Apparently lucid powers aren't always as easy as they sound in other people's dream journals. Things did not go well, and at one point the guy punched me so hard I woke up. But the expression on the thug's face when I tried to "zap" him with an energy beam from my finger was rather amusing.

In another interesting dream I met a girl who might have been my dream guide. She taught me a technique I had never heard of before that really helped to make my dreams more stable and vivid.
