Angry Do lucid dreams have a cycle?! I had lucids everyday for a week and now nothing.

My dr is gone also! I'm very angry, confused just really out of it.. I don't know what to do. I've been practicing for months and finally I get the hang of it and everything leaves! WTF happened? Even my dream recall? I keep searching and searching and people say this has happened to them but no one ever addresses the situation. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so what did you do? What steps can be taken to prevent this or at least curve it so that it won't erase everything?

Are you writting your dreams down? this helps your dream recall significantly, and at night, telling yourself you "Will remember your dreams" and having good motivation helps. Dream recall is totally random, I have never had a LD, but this is what I've been told when I asked a similiar question.

The same thing happened to me. I got a huge whack of LDs the first year or so of practicing it, then my recall and lucid count dropped off to literally nothing. If you're frustrated, I would suggest taking a break and waiting for something to motivate you to LD. I did this, then I drew some pictures and watched a few movies which motivated me again. I read over my old, old DJ entries and this also helped. I'm back to an LD a week, more if I'm lucky, but I'm slowly getting there.

Make sure you're not stressed out, be it from something other than LDing or not. Go to bed at around the same time every night. Try a WBTB if you haven't yet.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I think you should go way back to the basics, get your recall perfect if anything, if that's what your struggling with as well.
I suggest really sticking with the foundations until you have something to build on, if you have no foundations everyTHANGs gonna be unstable!

Thank you all! I still write my dreams down.. Even when I don't remember a dream I write down "nothing happened..etc" I use WBTB exclusively and I do research almost daily.. I run a blog basically dedicated to lucid dreaming. I don't know.. I guess I'll take another break then. I can't believe how my dream recall died off though.. I rarely miss an opportunity to jot down my dreams.. Yes I was thinking to start all over.. But then when I think about it, it kills my motivation.. I think that's what I will have to do.. damn I'm pissed.
