Exclamation Every dream has same location

      Hi,

I'm a long time lurker on these forums and I've been into lucid dreaming ever since 7th grade ( which was about 6 years ago) when I first heard about it and I've been lurking these forums off and on...

Anyways, now that I am on my spring vacation, I've gotten back into lucid dreaming but I've been having this problem where my nearly all of my dreams take place in the same location: my school cafeteria. I would love to go on some adventures in my dreams and create and explore new areas in my dream, but every time I dream, my dreams are always in my school cafeteria with the same exact people from school. Is there any way I can remedy this?

This might belong in the Recurring Dream section, not sure.

You mention getting back into Lucid Dreaming...are any of these cafeteria dreams lucid? If so, can you create a door or portal as a way out of the dream location?

Can you turn around in this dream location? Perhaps facing a new direction could lead you to someplace new.

Are you able to do any of the usual checks in your dream, like looking at your hands or holding your nose?

I request a little more info.

I apologize, I was not quite sure what section to post this in.

All of these cafeteria dreams are non lucid dreams and usually have some type of plotline that takes place within the cafeteria. I always seem to forget to do any RCs in the dream and I basically just go with the flow inside of the dream and do not question my surroundings.

Most of my dreams take place in the houses from my childhood.
You could try just leaving the cafeteria once you become lucid. If there's a door, then it can lead to anywhere.
Usually, even if I start out in the same place, I can just wander off and some interesting things pop up.
      It's all in your head.

      Hmmm...

How long do you sleep in one period?

Try shortening the sleep period by an hour or two if you get at least 6 hours straight. Use an alarm or your computer to make a sound, nothing that will prevent you from going back to sleep, but just enough to interrupt the sleep cycle. With luck, you can get this to happen while you are dreaming.

Use these sleepy moments after the alarm (or sound) to allow the dream to envelop you, and give it a new direction before you fall back asleep. Tell yourself to create a way out of the cafeteria and picture it. when you fall back asleep you can take the new thoughts and images with you.

I hope that makes sense. I'm getting sleepy.

My advice is not much help then, if you're not becoming lucid.
Perhaps you should make more of a habit of questioning your surroundings in waking life, if you don't already. You could potentially make the cafeteria a dream sign. Tell yourself during the day and before bed that when you find yourself in the cafeteria, you will realize that you are dreaming. Also, whenever in waking life you encounter anything remotely similar to the cafeteria, like a restaurant or whatever, do a reality check.

I find being Lucid, I get at times beyond Earth's Atmosphere onto other planets just like Earth. I have been on the Martian Poles.

Dude, you should be glad that you have such an obvious dream sign. Instead of trying to get rid of it, use it to your advantage. Every time you see your cafeteria in real life do a reality check and as you go to bed, tell yourself over and over again that the next time you see the cafeteria, you will do a RC. Trust me, this recurring dream is a good thing.
