Sure, i learned how to LD in a time with no internet, so I did not really understand stabilizing for a couple years. I still managed to have some good LDs. Being good at stabilizing is how you can stretch out the LD for the entire REM cycle, as long as 30-90 minutes if everything goes perfect. 90 minutes is ultra extreme, but 30 minutes should be attainable with good stabilization training. Not every time of course.
