Smile How vivid are your dreams?

      Hello everybody.
I was wondering how the quality in your regular dreams, and lucid dreams, are like? I find that the quality in all three of the LDs that I had are as plain as any of my other normal dreams. I haven’t had an extremely vivid lucid dream yet, but my regular dreams are quite clear, and I can remember little details too. I just would like to know how your average dreams and lucid dreams are like compared to each other.
      Thanks a lot.

It generally varies from day- to-day. Sometime's, I get dissapointed by reality, as my dreams feel so real, but I do get crappy unrealistic ones too

hahaha, Indeed! That's one of the dangers of lucid dreaming though; Some people have been known to become addicted to it, almost possesed by the idea that you can have control over everything. Trust me, I complain about society alot, so I tend to change things to my liking. This becomes deeply engrained in my mind, thus making reality seem rather dull and annoying.....
Also, the idea can almost become dangerously posessive, by which I mean that you may start to feel the lines between reality and the dream world blur. This can lead some people to commit/ act out certain actions in real life that they would not normally perform eg. Jumping from a roof in the belief that they will fly.....
Of course, this very rarely occurs, but I have to keep an eye on how engrossed I get in the whole "Becoming Lucid" thing.

Becoming addicted to lucid dreaming? I can see how that's possible. From the moment I had my first Lucid dream; as short and not realistic as it was, I have been obsessed with trying to get more... Me and my family complain about society often as well, every chance we get... There is so many annoying things in this world. Anyway, someone would have to be kind of insane to think they can fly in reality, and jump of a building.

Don't worry, I'm sure the number of people who become obsessed and commit strange acts is indeed very low, but I'm sure that it' a possibility if you combine the right person ( slash wrong person, depending on your perspective) and the idea of becoming lucid.

Well most of the times my dreams are pretty vivid but that's because I practise all day awareness. Like I can recall so much details and stuff. My first lucid dream was so amazing and intense, the quality was just perfect. But my second lucid dream was blurry and vague.

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

Mine cover all ranges. Some of my dreams have almost no visual and its like having a conversation dark. In other dreams they can be magically vivid, so much so as to make me emotional.

It's funny how vividness can vary so much. I have also had those dreams where it is like I'm having a conversation with the darkness, hehe.

Most of my lucid dreams differ from other dreams in that I really feel I 'am there' as opposed to just watching a movie. Some have beem better than reality...not more realistic, as the world of dreams are so different... but as real seeming.

Yeah, I think I get what you're saying, it's like a different kind of "real"...

I tried that in my first lucid dream, along with some other things like "clarity now!" and "vividness now!", but it never worked, everything just got brighter, not clearer.

They vary. Most aren't as vivid as reality, but I can remember lots of details.

Cool! But maybe the more lucid dreams you have the more vivid it will get? I hope so.

I hope so too! They do seem to be getting more vivid over time. It helps if, during the dream, I try to touch something; really engage my senses.

I am happy for you, you'll probably be having completely realistic lucid dreams in NO time.

My lucid dreams are normally very vivid. I have had like three that were really dark. I always forget about voice commands. I am normally pretty engrossed in the dream that I forget a lot of stuff like that. So I normally just run or fly as fast as I can and do my objective if I remember it. (my fast run is fastest even in normal dreams, I am the fastest ever)

Haha, don't you worry, you are the FASTEST ever! There is not a person alive that is even half as fast as you.
