You have dreams every single night however you simply forget them, in the morning when you wake up within a few minutes you forget your dreams unless they were really intenser or you written them down, our minds erase dreams for some reason and they are not stored in the same memory as the waking life.
To remember dreams more often and in more detail what I would do is every night have a diary (or big enough paper) and a pen/pencil and when you wake up either at the time you normally get up or before/after you record your dreams in the diary or paper. When you wake up so not move or think about anything else except for what you dreamt last night (thinking about the days concerns will make it harder and maybe you could forget if you do that :3), even a single scene or a word will be worth it to write it down in the diary/paper. Slowly you will remember dreams more and you could possibly remember 4 a night if you try hard!.
