Thread: Is not having dream is sign of some problem or disease(not getting any dreams at all)

5 weeks ago i didn't know what lucid dreaming was, and just like you i didn't remember the last time i had a dream and add to that the fact that you could shoot me in the face with a cannon without waking me up (i am a heeeeeeeeeavy sleeper).

After learning about lucids on the web i said to myself; "I will start a mission to disprove this nonsense".

So... I started up a journal and after a week i had written down 5 dreams in surprising detail and a week after that i became lucid by accident, and as much as it pains me to say it i was wrong in calling this phenomenon nonsense.

Furthermore to back up what Gab said in the first comment, mantras are a very powerful, yet incredibly simple tool to use when you want your brain to do something, i recently tried it for the first time, writing down a whole page of my journal with "I will wake up after my dreams and notice this process" followed by me repeating it to myself while falling asleep. The next day, i had woken up 7 times during the night and 4 times i wrote down a dream, all in one night.

Additionally, recently i began remembering 2-3 dreams a night without waking up to write them down. So i think this serves to prove that you can train your brain to remember dreams, even though you don't remember any of them as it is.

I hope this gives you motivation to start a dream journal, for as you can see, i went from blank to 4 dreams in one night in 2-3 weeks just by doing that and using some mantras.
