Does anyone else get visits from deceased loved ones/pets?

So every now and then i'll have a dream where i'll see my cat, she died 2 years ago. I'm always happy to see her and i'll usually pet her and say hi. I've noticed that this happens a lot: I'm laying in bed trying to sleep and i feel a cat jump up on my bed (I have two other cat's that are in and out of my room and they both sleep on the bed) So i figured it was one of them jumping up onto the bed and ignored it. I woke up later and realized that there were no cats in my room so i was probably dreaming it. Anything like this happen to you?

It sounds like you miss your cat alot. I don't have many dead relatives at all but my grandpa is dead and I got to meet him in a lucid once. I've also summoned my mom's dead dog a couple of times and played around with him. What you felt was probably the effects of some SP.

I always sleep with my door closed and locked so there is no way for them to get in or out. Otherwise i'd never get any sleep, they get loud in the wee hours of the night.

I wouldn't call them visits. You're not going to completely forget about someone once they're dead, so of course you're going to dream about them now and again. I think everyone's like that.

When we deam about our pets, it could be just because we miss them and think about them, or they came for a visit. I like those dreams.

But the feeling of cat walking on you bed - I believe it's SP, as matte87 says. I have that happen often. Many time I think "ok, this time it's for real" and I look and there is no cat there. I have 2 cats sleeping in same room with me. Happy dreams

I kind of smacked myself when i woke up and realized it was SP because i probably could have gotten into the LD and not only have seen my cat, but perhaps go for a fly. I don't get upset when i see her anymore, in fact i will usually just say hi, give her a pet and get on with my LD. A few days after she died I still remember i was dreaming that I was in a house and i wasn't lucid at all. I walked into a hallway and suddenly there comes my cat walking down the stairs. I grabbed her and prolly squeezed her so hard that i would have killed her IRL, and i could barely see her because i was crying so hard in the dream. She was my cat since i was 5 years old, she died 18 years later. I still miss her but I know it's not healthy to hang on to the past. When i do get into a LD I never search her out, any time I've seen her she just happened to be in the dream.

I used to get visited by my late uncle. :p Then, one time, he said "This is the last time you'll see me" and I haven't dreamed of him since. I'm not too upset about it now, but I remember being fairly sad about it upon waking up.

I have never dreamt like that maybe because I don’t like pets. And I don’t have any dead relatives.

I've had a dream a couple of times where I've seen my deceased grandpa. In one dream he told me he loves me I think. In another dream I saw him and I think he wanted to say something but I think I got too excited at being lucid that I woke up. Next time I see my grandpa in a dream I want to ask him why he is supposedly angry at my grandma because she dreams about him but he always is turned around like he doesn't want to talk to her. If possible I'd like to do that for my grandma.

My aunt had a dream like that about my grandpa where he said something like that.

I have experienced the exact same with my dogs a couple times :p My door is always closed and one of my reoccurring SP hallucinations is the feeling of one of my dogs jumping on my bed and lying in between my legs like they always do in real life :p I usually know its SP and get lucid, but there have been times where I wake up with no dog on my bed and I'm like awwww I could be dreaming right now!!

All my grandparents are dead and I will occasionally dream about them, but I will be at one of their houses and it will be like old times when they were alive. These are usually non lucid. I had a cat from the age of 5 until I was 18 and I will sometimes see him in dreams. He died when I was 18 and I'm now 44, but he will still make an occasional appearance.
