No one knows when you will have your first lucid dream, it varies greatly between individuals. Some people have a lucid dream the night after they had just learned of lucid dreaming, others take months since they first heard of it.
As for your RC's, you need to understand it's not just the amount of RC's you do every day. It's also about how you feel when you do them, you really need to have a emotional conection to your RC's, otherwise you do them like a robot. And that won't help you when it comes to lucid dreaming. It has to MEAN something to you.
The best way I can explain this is by comparing doing RC's and breathing, when you breath you almost never notice you are breathing unless you really concentrate on it, this is similar to how RC's work. If you just "do" RC's like a souless robot every five minutes, then when you do them in a dream you may not even notice (like when you breath). Infact, if they don't mean anything to you, they may never even appear in your dreams.
However, if you truly concentrate on them, when they truly mean something to you, then they will make themselve apparent to you in your dreams.
It's not the amount you do, it's the meaning behind them and the consistency in which you do them.
Atleast that's how I see it.
